🌳 This month, we highlight organizations caring for creation.πŸƒ

Our area is a veritable garden, one of the most biodiverse areas in the United States, with unparalleled natural beauty and biodiversity. Read more to learn about local conservation organizations, schools, and even food-focused nonprofits.

Thank you Chattanooga Audubon Society, Lula Lake Land Trust, Tennessee River Gorge Trust, and Reflection Riding for being featured!

The Generosity Trust is celebrating a season of growth and bittersweet transition within our team. We are saying a fond farewell to Marsha Sturm and Josh Suddath as they move on to new chapters of retirement and ministry.

Marsha has managed our daily operations with excellence since 2022 and will be retiring on June 11.

Josh has served faithfully as Director of Donor Engagement since 2023 and will be moving his family to a new ministry opportunity at the end of May.

πŸ’œ We are deeply grateful for the impact they have made on The Generosity Trust and the Chattanooga community. Please join us in celebrating their service and praying for their families during this time of change.

Are you a woman (or know one) who loves tea, good stories, and inspiration?

Stepping into Generosity is a collaborative giving circle of ladies who give, learn, and fellowship together.

We are hosting Tea on June 2 at Mountain Oaks Manor in Ooltewah, and we would love to extend a special invitation to ladies in the Apison, Collegedale, Ooltewah, and East Brainerd area.

🍰 Come enjoy some delicious food and tea, and hear from two ladies about the impact of group giving to Momentum Network.

πŸ’• We would love to see you there.

Last week Josh, Lindsey, and Robert got to attend the Paths to Recovery Conference, since TGT was a partial sponsor. The conference was hosted by the Hamilton County Coalition (https://www.hccoalition.org/) and brings together local organizations and people working and living in the recovery space.

With faith-based, medical, and community break-out sessions led by local and national speakers, the collaboration and learning were top-notch.

A few favorite takeaways:

- 🧠 Neuroplasticity matters: the brain can rewire and heal.
- β›ͺ Congregations can become "Recovery-friendly"- reach out to HCC.
- TN had a huge overdose spike in the Pandemic, but we are doing better than the national average on reducing this rate!

We love getting out into the community!

(Shoutout to Jennifer with Safe Families who shared a table with us!)

What is breaking God’s heart that is also breaking yours?
Where do you see God moving, and want to jump in?

We ask our donors that all the time.

Very often we hear topics like the need for more Bible translation, teaching, preaching, and distribution; foster care and adoption; evangelism; church planting; economic empowerment; homelessness, and affordable housing.

We willingly journey alongside our generous donors who are passionate about releasing the resources God has entrusted to them to address these needs.

Here are three ways The Generosity Trust helps donors align their money with their mission: https://www.thegenerositytrust.org/aligning-your-money-and-your-mission/

Developing a habit of generosity is like building muscle.

🚫 One heavy trip to the gym doesn't create change.
🚫 It doesn't create a habit.
🚫 It doesn't create lasting results.

Listen to the FaithFi: Faith & Finance minute on "The Power of Consistent Generosity" https://www.faithfi.com/faithfi/the-power-of-consistent-generosity-9059

How are you developing habits of generosity?

- Join a Giving Circle to be challenged with others.
- Set aside extra money for your DAF every month.
- Make it a habit to give up one meal/coffee per month so you can give.

Building muscle is a slow process. But the journey and results are so worth it.
