The heart of our work is motivating donors toward kingdom-building generosity. As we set out toward that aim, we will hold the following core values as vital elements of our culture. We will be…

If it wasn’t already apparent, we intentionally arranged those four values. As a principal service to our community, we facilitate Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) for donors across the country. While DAFS have many inherent benefits on their own, we believe that when backed by these values and energized by our new initiatives, they will increasingly become a tool for greater impact.

2 Corinthians 9:7 reminds us that true generosity comes from a heart that has decided to give freely and joyfully.

The Young Givers, hosted by The Generosity Trust, is a collaborative Giving Circle where givers pool funds and grant them out together on a quarterly basis. The group is about more than giving - members report that what they value most is the community that is formed as they practice counter-cultural habits.

Since starting in 2019, they have now given away over $100k to local causes. Want to try it out? Let us know!

We love collaboration. 💜

We encourage it in others, and seek to model it as well.

We love meeting on a quarterly basis with Quentin Lawrence and Jon Berestecky of the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga. In addition to great fellowship, we always leave with a broader awareness of what we are each doing, share ideas, and share connections.

We are stronger together!

We recently attended the Paths to Recovery Conference, as partial sponsors of the event. While there, we enjoyed spending time with local nonprofit leaders working in the recovery space!

At TGT, we believe in supporting the work of the community in collaborative ways. As part of our vision to support collaboration we funded a "Causal Cohort" facilitated by Mission Increase, and provided partial scholarships for cohort members to attend the conference.

Throughout the year, cohort participants from different organizations come together to learn how to work better together for a stronger community. It's a lot of work on their part, and we are inspired by their commitment!

We are thankful for Chattanooga's local Mission Increase and the support they provide to local nonprofits.

The Generosity Trust is celebrating a season of growth and bittersweet transition within our team. We are saying a fond farewell to Marsha Sturm and Josh Suddath as they move on to new chapters of retirement and ministry.

Marsha has managed our daily operations with excellence since 2022 and will be retiring on June 11.

Josh has served faithfully as Director of Donor Engagement since 2023 and will be moving his family to a new ministry opportunity at the end of May.

💜 We are deeply grateful for the impact they have made on The Generosity Trust and the Chattanooga community. Please join us in celebrating their service and praying for their families during this time of change.
