The City of Charlottesville is looking for Community Co-designers to help shape its new Economic Mobility and Opportunity Action Plan—a roadmap that will guide future City efforts to improve economic opportunity and address barriers that make it difficult for people and families to thrive. Rather than asking for feedback later in the planning and development process, this project brings a cohort of community members with various lived experiences to the table to help design solutions from the start.

The commitment is about 2–3 hours per week from August through November (less than 30 hours total), including an in-person meeting every other week. Participants will receive a $550 stipend, and meals and child care will be available at most meetings.

The City is looking for people with lived experience navigating financial hardship or the challenges of making ends meet in our region who are interested in working with others to improve economic opportunity in Charlottesville. City residency is not required. The application is short (just 13 questions) and finalists will be invited for a brief interview.

We are still so full from yesterday's Day of Healing! We had an amazing day of love, fellowship, community and restoration. God was certainly in the space and watched over the whole event. We are so grateful for every single person who played any and every role for this day to be such a success. Over 12 local churches joined together to love on and care for our community ❤️ Praise God for keeping his hand on this day!

Tents are going up, supplies are being delivered and God's favor never fails. We are setting up for Day of Healing and we are so excited to spend time with our community friends and neighbors tomorrow! 11am-2pm at 1015 Preston Ave, Charlottesville Va, 22903! UPDATE!!! THE DAY OF HEALING IS ON!!
We've consulted, thought and prayed on the weather report for tomorrow and The Day of Healing will continue AS PLANNED! So join us tomorrow June 27th from 11-2p at Zion Union Baptist Church. We are excited to spend this time in community with you all!

As we look toward the weekend we see the current weather reports are calling for inclement weather. BUT don't worry, the Day of Healing will be rescheduled NOT canceled!

We are commited to the safety of our community, volunteers and partners. So as we monitor the weather, keep checking in with us for Saturday's plans and if needed, what the new date will be!

We continue to look forward to sharing this time with you!
