Building Healthy Relationships
Aldersgate will be hosting a 3-session class called “Building Healthy Relationships” in partnership with the Shelter for Help in Emergency. These classes are geared towards girls and young women ages 10-18 and are open to Aldersgate families and friends. Each session will include prayer and sharing of scripture through the lens of how Jesus calls us into healthy relationships and will be co-led by Pastor Julie.

The first class is being held on Tuesday, March 1 from 6-7pm. We are required to have a minimum of 3 participants registered by February 25. You can register at cvaumc.org/building-healthy-relationships. Contact Pastor Julie at [email protected] with questions.

We are facing an urgent mental health crisis among young people.
The good news is the church can be a part of that journey towards healing and can help equip parents and young people for moving towards better health. Perhaps this article can be helpful for someone you love. And a good question we can all consider, "The next time you feel anxious, what core truth, scripture, song or phrase about yourself or God would you like to remember?"

“Raise your hand if you would rather be a teenager now than when you were a teenager.” This has become of my favorite opening phrases when I’m speaking to parents and leaders. Usually no one raises their hand.
