Village Chapel Presbyterian Church VCPC is a Presbyterian Church (USA)
congregation in Kanawha City, WV. We live our faith in service, worship,
and fellowship together. Everyone is welcome!

All are welcome to join us! VCPC is located at the corner of Venable Ave. and 39th Street in the Kanawha City neighborhood of Charleston, WV. We worship together every Sunday at 11 a.m. Sunday school is on recess June through August. We have many programs for the whole family.

Steve Murray, beloved husband, father, grandfather, teacher, and friend, entered the Church Triumphant on Sunday, August 23, 2026. Steve, along with his wife Sherri, joined Village Chapel in the 2000's, and served faithfully with us for 20 years in many roles, including tending the lovely flowers and lawns around the church and framing many items for us at their shop, Watson's, on the West Side.
A service to celebrate Steve’s life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Village Chapel with Rev. Dr. Todd Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the church.

We hope you will join us for worship this week. Howard Salisbury will be singing, we'll be blessing the kids on their way back to school this week, and Todd's sermon will be "Welcome?" based on Isaiah 56:1, 6-8. Every one is welcome -- no question about it!

UPDATE: CHEERS from the office this morning as everything seems to be working! Let's hope it lasts.

The Good News and the Bad News: Did you know the church has had phone service problems for months and months? The good news is they are really fixed now! 🥳 BUT... the changes made this week have resulted in the internet being down today. 😒 So Leslie and Amy are working from home today. Leslie will be in tomorrow and it will (hopefully) be fixed. 🙏🏽🤞We will keep you posted.
