Hello friends! This page has been a little dormant for a while, so I'm not sure how many this will reach. Since there are few of us who "dislike" group messages, I thought I would put this here and tag everyone individually to see if that works a little better!

I just wanted to see if you want to be involved in the future of the "Young Adults" Wednesday night class? Any topic suggestions? Any service suggestions? Anyone interested in facilitating? :) Anyone have a name change suggestion!?! We have an opportunity to re-evaluate the class and I would love to know what everyone's vision for it is!

So, if you have any thoughts about the class, let us know! If you have other ideas, let us know! Hope to see you soon! ~ Emily

Hello all! For those of you who were not in class last Wednesday, we have a homework assignment! :) We decided to use a video series from Right Now Media for the next few weeks, but Paul asked us to preview two of them and decide which we would like to do. The first is CHRISTIAN ATHEIST by Craig Groeschel, the second is RUMORS OF GOD by Darren Whitehead. Both of the series have a 'trailer' that gives you a taste of the series. Take a few minutes and watch them! If this is your first visit to Right Now Media the website is www.rightnowmedia.org , although you may have to text Paul for a new 'invite'! Amazing discussion last night in class....Thanks everyone! Chapter 4 was challenging and insightful. In fact it was so good, we never made it to Chapter 5 discussion! :) So for next week we will discuss Chapter 5 and 6 of Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire. The Holy Spirit is doing amazing work in our lives!

Thinking about class last night and "pleasing" people over "pleasing" God...The opening lines of a song by Jars of Clay keep rolling around in my mind...."I built another temple to a stranger, I gave away my heart to the rushing wind, I set my course to run right in to danger, Sought the company of fools instead of friends...." Today, may we intentionally build a temple to God, give our heart to Him, set our course with His plan for our life, and seek Him above all others!

The votes were tallied and despite a close and crazy voting procedure (thanks Matt Harmon) a winner emerged! We will be reading WEIRD by Craig Groeschel! We will cover the first three chapters next Wednesday. (Don't freak out....its only about 30 pages!)
You can pick up the book online for your kindle or ipad, at your local bookstore, or the audiobook is available from itunes if you prefer hearing to reading!

Hello All - Well, here we are again, picking a new study! :) Paul suggested that we all bring a book to class on Wednesday...Kinda of like a show and tell! Everyone has a chance to "pitch" their suggestion and then we will take it to a vote! So, I'll bring the snacks, you bring a book and your powers of persuasion, and we will see where God is leading us!
