This Sunday, we'll gather for worship at 10:00 AM as we send our campers off for an incredible week of faith, fun, and adventure.

Please note: There will be no Sunday School.

Be sure to keep our campers, counselors, and leaders in your prayers throughout the week. We can't wait to hear all that God does at camp!

After Christmas, the church celebrates the twelve days of Epiphany (Dec. 26–Jan. 6), reminding us of Christ’s birth. The Twelve Days of Christmas may have deeper meanings:

-2 Turtle Doves = Old & New Testaments
-3 French Hens = faith, hope, charity
-4 Calling Birds = the four Gospels
-5 Golden Rings = Pentateuch
-6 Geese A-laying = six days of creation
-7 Swans A-swimming = gifts of the Spirit or sacraments
-8 Maids A-milking = Beatitudes
-9 Ladies Dancing = fruits of the Spirit
-10 Lords A-leaping = Ten Commandments
-11 Pipers Piping = apostles
-12 Drummers Drumming = Apostle’s Creed

And the partridge in a pear tree? Jesus Himself, like a mother bird protecting her chicks (Luke 13:34). As the season ends, let these symbols remind us of the greatest gift of all, Christ.

As parents, we often wish we could read our child’s mind. I wonder what baby Jesus thought as He experienced the world—His first cries, first hugs, and tiny frustrations. By age 12, He amazed everyone in the Temple with His understanding of God’s Word, yet He remained obedient to Mary and Joseph (Luke 2:49). Even as a child, His mission, to save sinners, was in His heart.

Today, take a moment to marvel at the small baby who changed the world. If you haven’t accepted His gift of salvation, now is the day to surrender your life to Him—your life will never be the same.
