The Metropolis of Chicago announced today that it received an unmodified, or “clean,” opinion from its independent auditors on its 2025 consolidated financial statements, marking its seventh consecutive year receiving an unmodified opinion.

“The generosity of our faithful and parishes carry a sacred trust, and we are committed to managing these resources with care, professionalism, and transparency. I am grateful to our Metropolis Council and volunteer leaders for their commitment to responsible stewardship,” said His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael. “Through sound governance, effective operations, and strong financial controls, we seek to set an example that current and future parish leaders can follow.”

Sadly, we have been informed that the number of martyrs from the terrorist attack on St George’s Church in Jordan has risen from 7 to 9.

We pray for our brothers who have borne witness to Christ through their martyrdom, as well as for the swift recovery of the injured.
