Occurring 50 days after Pascha, Pentecost marks the day the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles in the form of tongues of fire, empowering them to preach the Gospel to all nations. This event is widely considered the "Birthday of the Church."

Orthodox churches are often decorated with green branches and leaves, symbolizing the "Life-Giving" nature of the Holy Spirit, which renews all of creation.

May the light of the Holy Spirit burn brightly in your hearts today and always!
