First Christian Church is about people. We are first and foremost a church - a people of faith who are pursing their life after the example of Jesus. We are known for our weekend gatherings. The music is alive, the messages are personal, and the Family Ministries are engaging. We have two locations, Urbana at Lincoln Square Mall and Champaign on the corner of Curtis and Staley. Jesus didn't invite Himself to Zacchaeus's house because he was upstanding.

He invited Himself because He loves him.

That same love, care, and grace? It's for everyone open to His kingdom.

Not just the "right" people. Not just the ones you'd approve of.

If you've decided someone isn't worth reaching, you've made up your mind. And Jesus didn't do that.

Feeling bad about sin isn't repentance.

Remorse says, "I'm sorry." Repentance says, "I'm changing."

We've infested American Christianity with the idea that naming your sin and feeling bad is enough. It's not.

Real repentance is a 180. You live a different way. Like Zacchaeus—he didn't just apologize. He gave it all back fourfold.

Feeling bad is step one. Changing is the point.
