Fr. Nathan's open-heart surgery is this Wednesday, August 26th. He has asked for our prayers especially through the Sacred Heart of Jesus: "I appreciate your prayers for the operation itself, and also for patience during the daunting recovery time —for me, the priests, and my family."

We will pray a novena written by a parishioner as well as the Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus August 26 - September 3. The prayers will be posted here each day. Brochures are also available in the vestibule or you can find the text on our website at stmatt.net.

We had a great time celebrating our 125th Anniversary at the 4 pm vigil Mass this weekend. Thank you to Bishop Louis Tylka for traveling to celebrate this special Mass with us. Also, thank you to our former priest, Fr. Joel Phelps, for being a part of this celebration. Finally, thank you to all who were involved in the planning of this Mass along with the reception after Mass.
