🌿 Rest in His Presence

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

Life can be extremely overwhelming. There are seasons when the weight of responsibilities, worries, and the unkown that leaves us feeling exhausted.

In those moments, Jesus offers an invitation to come to Him.

God's presence is not something we have to earn. It is a place of refuge, peace, and rest. When we slow down to spend time with Him in prayer, worship, or simply sitting quietly in His presence, we are reminded that we do not have to carry every burden on our own.

True rest is found not in escaping life's challenges, but in resting in the One who walks through them with us.

Take a moment today to pause, breathe, and rest in God's presence.

🕊️ Fear Is a Liar

Fear has a way of convincing us that we're alone, that we're not enough, or that the future is out of control and there is nothing to be done about it. But fear does not tell the whole story.

God's Word reminds us that He is with us, He is faithful, and He is at work even when we cannot see what lies ahead. While fear focuses on uncertainty, faith reminds us of God's character and promises.

That doesn't mean we will never feel afraid. It means we don't have to let fear have the final word.

When fear tells you that you're on your own, remember that God is with you. When fear tells you that nothing will change, remember that God is still working. When fear tells you to give up, remember that God's promises remain true.

👔 Happy Father's Day

As Father's Day comes to a close, we want to take a moment to celebrate and thank the dads, grandpas, stepdads, foster dads, and father figures who make a difference in the lives of others.

Thank you for the ways you lead, serve, provide, encourage, and show up day after day. Much of what fathers do happens in ordinary moments that often go unnoticed, but those moments matter to our children.

Today we're grateful for the men who reflect God's love through their care, sacrifice, guidance, and faithfulness.

We also recognize that Father's Day can bring a mix of emotions for many people. Wherever today finds you, we pray that you would experience God's comfort, presence, and peace.

Happy Father's Day from all of us at Common Ground Church. We hope you've had a meaningful day with family and loved ones.

🤍 I Am With You Always

“And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:20

These are some of the final recorded words of Jesus before His ascension, and they are a promise that still brings comfort today. Jesus did not promise a life free from challenges or difficult seasons. He promised His presence.

Whether you are walking through a season of joy or a season of challenge, you are not facing it alone. Christ is with you in the ordinary moments, the unexpected challenges, and the quiet places where no one else sees.

His presence is not dependent on our circumstances. It is a constant reminder of His faithfulness and love.

Today, whatever is on your heart, take comfort in this simple truth. Jesus is with you.

👑 The Alpha and the Omega

“‘I am the Alpha and the Omega,’ says the Lord God, ‘who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.’” Revelation 1:8

This verse is a reminder of the greatness and eternal nature of God. Before the beginning of time, He was there. Long after our current circumstances have passed, He will still reign. God is not limited by the challenges, time, or seasons that we face.

When life feels unpredictable, there is comfort in knowing that God sees the whole picture. He is the beginning and the end, and He remains faithful through every moment in between.

The same God who was at work in the lives of believers throughout Scripture is still at work today. His power has not diminished. His promises have not changed. His presence has not left us.

Whatever you are facing today, you can trust the One who holds all things in His hands.

🤝 Better Together

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor.” Ecclesiastes 4:9

God never intended for us to walk through life alone. From the beginning, we were created for relationship. We need people who will encourage us, pray for us, celebrate with us, and help carry burdens when life becomes difficult.

This verse reminds us of the strength that comes from community. When we work together, serve together, and support one another, we experience one of God's good gifts.

Church is more than a place we attend. It is a family where we grow together, learn together, and point one another toward Christ. If you've been trying to carry everything on your own, let this be a reminder: you don't have to.

✨ From Doubt to Faith

“Then he said to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.’” John 20:27

Thomas is often remembered for his doubt, but this passage also reveals the compassion of Jesus.

When Thomas struggled to believe, Jesus did not push him away. He invited him to see, to touch, and to experience the truth for himself.

Many of us have moments when questions arise or faith feels difficult. The good news is that Jesus is not threatened by our questions. He invites us to draw near to Him, seek Him, and trust Him.

God's grace is often found not in having all the answers, but in continuing to bring our hearts to Him.

Wherever you are on your faith journey today, Jesus invites you to come closer.

🤝 Pursue Peace

“Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord." Hebrews 12:14

Peace does not always happen naturally. It often requires humility, patience, forgiveness, and a willingness to extend grace.

This verse encourages us to actively pursue peace in our relationships while also pursuing a life that reflects God's character. Both are ongoing journeys that require us to stay connected to Him and not wait for it to happen to us.

Living at peace with others does not mean avoiding difficult conversations or pretending problems do not exist. It means approaching people with the same love, mercy, and truth that Christ has shown us.
