An update on Stuart from Camp Galilee.

We have a wonderful update on Stuart's condition from his wife, Monica Campbell:

Dear Family and Friends in all places,

Stuart was released from the ICU late Monday night! He is still in Barton Hospital in South Lake on the regular floor. His trauma surgeon told us that his discharge will depend upon pain management and a certain level of lung functioning. Stuart suffered multiple rib fractures and injuries to his lungs. He is doing well moving forward with these health goals in the hospital. His energy level and clarity continues to increase, bit by bit. Most of the staff here are still excited with his rapid progress! We were told he could be discharged anytime between Thursday or Friday of this week 😃

We ask that you concentrate on help from afar instead of coming to the hospital to visit, as his injuries leave him vulnerable to a lot of different procedures and activity and simply isn't up to visiting a lot here. If you're close to the Galilee staff or are in the camping world and have ideas of how to support the staff, please offer to help them in any way as they continue to host our groups and plan for the summer.

Many, many, many loved ones have asked to be helpful, WOW. We are simply overwhelmed with gratitude, and we'll reach out as any pressing need becomes clear. Both our girls will be home as of today (Wednesday) and family will come to visit this weekend, which is a great boost to our spirits. Your love, healing energy, light, hope, and prayers are so helpful, impactful and working! Please pray in your own way specifically for decreased pain, increased oxygen to his lungs, and peace in his mind and heart.

Love, The Campbells

Please add Stuart to your prayer list for healing. Camp Galilee is a huge part of our life at St. Peter’s!

Please add Stuart to your prayer list for healing. Camp Galilee is a huge part of our life at St. Peter’s!

This message is for our Galilee community from the Campbell Family. Stuart Campbell, Executive Director of Galilee, was in a serious motor vehicle collision on Thursday, 4/4. Due to his injuries, he underwent surgery that night and is now recovering in the South Lake Tahoe hospital. He will require intensive care and rehabilitation, but he is expected to make a very long but full recovery over the next several weeks. Monica his wife and their daughters are being supported by family and their extensive network of friends during this difficult time.

Please put Stuart in your prayers and thoughts right now as he rallies in his recovery. As those who know him can attest, Stuart is very strong in both body and spirit, and that buoys our hearts.

If you would like to send your well wishes to the Campbell family, please mail them to PO Box 236, Glenbrook, NV 89413.

Please direct all Galilee business inquiries to Associate Director Chelsey Ayers [email protected], and/or Registrar Lisa Thompson [email protected], office phone (775) 749-5546.

Thank you to our community.
