They are in the process of assembling lockers and furniture, painting walls and they'll need people to help with decor to make it a warm environment. Reach out directly to Community CARES to volunteer.

Second Church serves our community by providing school supplies to our children and youth in need in the greater Carlisle area. Please select from the list below. Bring supplies to the church and place in the donation box by July16.

For many families living under the federal poverty line, school basics such as backpacks, pencils, and paper are financially out of reach. When these supplies are not available in a child’s household, homework often goes undone. By donating funds or supplies to Fill the Bus, you will help purchase school supplies and support youths in the Carlisle Area. The youth should not face barriers that affect their performance in school. They are our future! Help them become the change they want to be.

Help us help the kids! Sign up to serve at the 2026 Fill the Bus event, held outside Walmart in Carlisle. Your job is to hand everyone who enters a flyer, inviting them to buy school supplies and to encourage people to support this community effort. It takes a village! Carlisle Second Presbyterian Church Children and Youth had fun at the Carlisle Sports Emporium playing Laser Tag and Mini Golf as we celebrated the end of the school year!

On Sunday morning, members and friends of Second Church served at the Breakfast Table held at New Life Community Church. Our members prepared, served and cleaned up.
