Public Announcement: Pomfret Street Outreach Closure
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the Pomfret Street Outreach will be shutting down its operations following our February 20th distribution. This decision comes as the owner of the building we have operated from, Griswold Home Care, will be relocating, leaving our current location on Pomfret Street unavailable to us.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to Griswold Home Care for graciously providing us with the space to serve the Carlisle community over the past five years. This partnership has allowed us to share love and kindness through the distribution of diapers, food items, and friendship—all given freely, with no strings attached.
Over the years, the Pomfret Street Outreach has been blessed by the unwavering support of the Carlisle Borough, local businesses, and ministries. We are incredibly thankful for the friendships we have built and the lives we have touched together.
Unfortunately, due to a lack of funding and resources, we are unable to continue our operations without access to a building. This decision was not made lightly, as our desire to serve the Carlisle community has been at the heart of our mission from the beginning.
