Wayne County Residents outside of any city limits will be able to dispose of flood debris at the Transfer Station in Hagerstown at no cost.

🚨 FLOOD DEBRIS DISPOSAL – WAYNE COUNTY UNINCORPORATED RESIDENTS

Wayne County is providing extended disposal hours for flood-related debris beginning Monday, August 17, to assist residents with cleanup and recovery.

⏰ Extended Hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

The facility will also be open:

📅 Saturday, August 22
⏰ 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

IMPORTANT: This service is available only to Wayne County residents who live outside an incorporated city or town.

Residents will be required to provide proof of residency, such as:

* Driver’s license or other ID
* Utility bill
* Other documentation showing your residence

The residency requirement is necessary so Wayne County can properly track and document flood debris and associated costs in accordance with FEMA disaster-recovery guidelines.

Wayne County is partnering with Best Way and Randolph County Farms Landfill to support debris removal and the ongoing recovery effort.

⚠️ Please do not bring debris to the site until operations begin Monday morning.

Wayne County Emergency Management Agency continues to coordinate recovery efforts and will provide additional information as it becomes available.

Please share this information with neighbors and residents affected by the flooding.

International Disaster Emergency Service is partnering with area churches to bring help to the local areas affected by the recent flooding. If you would like to volunteer to help, you can go to their website and follow the pages to Indiana Flooding. There you can donate or schedule a time to volunteer. They are currently scheduling everyday next week in Cambridge City!
