The Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
Three in one, yet different.
Were they all present from the beginning? How do they work in the world? How are they the same God but different persons?

Join us this Sunday as we reflect on the beginning and how our Triune God was present. Will we ever fully understand the Trinity? No, and we aren't supposed to, but we can take comfort in how Scripture points to all three persons of our Triune God from the very beginning and how we are in partnership with this Awesome God!

Worship with us, Sunday, May 31st at Attica UMC, 10:30am! All are invited to join us. We can't wait to meet you!

On Sunday, we talked about how hard it is to keep pouring ourselves out into all that we have to do: caring for family and friends, the never-ending to-do lists, financial stress, work, and going to all the events, parties, and games to support our loved ones. At times, we feel drained, as if we are a cup with a dozen holes in it, and no matter how fast we try to refill it, it all just rushes out, leaving us exhausted. When life feels overwhelming, and we feel empty, we need to take time to ask God to pour out into us. God's pitcher of love, grace, strength, and comfort is everlasting; it never goes dry. We cannot do all these things by ourselves, but with God, we can make it through. Ask God today to pour out into you, to fill your cup.

Jesus prayed to God on our behalf, petitioning God for our protection and to unite us.

Today, take some time to reflect how you are living into that prayer. Do you work to break down barriers and cross lines so that we may be more united and have less division in the world? What does it mean to you to know Jesus prayed for you? How can we as Christians work together to be united as one Body of Christ?

May God bless you this week!

This past Sunday, we talked about our loved ones who have gone before us and how their spirits live within us. We honor those spirits in our own lives. This is much like what Jesus was talking about in John 14:15-21 when he told the disciples that he was going to leave them an Advocate, the Holy Spirit, who would act as a helper, comforter, and counselor. The Holy Spirit abides within us, making us a part of Jesus's story and the story of all believers of all times. We honor Jesus by listening to the Spirit, and living our life as he did, loving our neighbors and seeking peace for the world.

Take some time this week to not only remember your loved ones and reflect on how their memories/lives are honored by your own, but also take time to connect with the Holy Spirit and reflect on how you are honoring Jesus with your life!

As Jesus prepared to enter into heaven, he promised his disciples, and us, that we would never be alone. He was going to leave them with the advocate, the Holy Spirit, to guide them.

Join us for worship this Sunday, May 10th at 10:30am at Zion UMC as we learn more about the promise of the Spirit!

We look forward to worshipping with you!

This week, we are reflecting on our faith in Jesus as the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Jesus has gone before us and prepared a place for us in heaven. He tells us we know the way, and the way is through Him. Yet faith can be tricky; we have to trust in Jesus to lead us, even when things don't go how we think they should, or we feel like we are wandering around blindly. Remember, Jesus has your back and is always with you. Trust that Jesus will lead you, that he is the Truth, and your faith in Him will result in everlasting life.

One of Pastor Lauren's favorite disciples is Thomas. Thomas is full of questions, just like the one we will explore this Sunday in worship. In John 14:5, Thomas said to him, "Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?"

How do we know the way? Jesus replied to this question with "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life."

Join us this Sunday at Attica UMC at 10:30am as we discover what Jesus meant by He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and how we are called to live into Jesus's response.

We easily recognize the voice of our children and many of our loved ones. As soon as we hear that tiny voice say Mom or Dad, we know it is our child searching for us or trying to get our attention. Animals are very similar in that aspect. Many mothers instinctively recognize the voice of their young and vice versa. It is how they stay together even in a large flock or herd.

But do you recognize the voice of your heavenly Father as easily as you do your children? Jesus tells us that he is the Good Shepherd who watches over us, His flock. He knows us by name and we know His voice and trust in Him. Take some time this week to listen for Jesus's voice and hear where he is leading you out to green pastures.
