Meet John, the newest participant in our one-on-one Employment Readiness Training Program! John comes to us through our friends at People Inc., and we're excited to walk alongside him on his journey toward employment success.

Our individualized training program is designed to provide people with intellectual disabilities the skills, confidence, and support they need to thrive in the workplace. But it's about more than employment—it is about dignity, purpose, and recognizing the immeasurable value of every person.

As followers of Christ, we believe that all people are made in the image of God and are worthy of love, opportunity, and respect. Jesus calls us to care for those in need, and we are honored to serve in a way that reflects His compassion and grace.

🎤 Karaoke Night at RISE — More Than Just Music 🎶

Tomorrow night at 7 PM we gather once again for one of our favorite community nights. Karaoke may seem simple on the surface, but what happens here is often much deeper.

For some, it’s finding the courage to stand in front of people for the very first time. For others, it’s a place to laugh again after a difficult week, make a new friend, or simply feel welcomed and accepted. We’ve watched shy voices grow confident, lonely people find community, and strangers become family.

At RISE, we believe every person has value because they were created by God with purpose. Nights like these remind people that they matter, that they are seen, and that joy and fellowship are gifts meant to be shared.

So whether you sing loudly, quietly, or not at all, there’s a place for you here.

We are incredibly grateful for our friends from First Baptist Church of East Aurora who came alongside us to serve at the Seneca Street Church meal ministry.

Your willingness to show up, serve with joy, and love on our community in such a practical way makes a real and lasting impact. It’s more than just a meal—it’s dignity, connection, and the love of Christ in action.

WEDNESDAY 4/15 STARTING AT 4:30 PM… JOIN US FOR AN EVENING OF FELLOWSHIP, ENCOURAGEMENT, AND A POWERFUL TESTIMONY OF REDEMPTION!!

This months testimony will be shared by Richie Derwald. For over 30 years Richie has entertained throughout N. America, as a singer, actor, comedian, and Pro Wrestler, all while struggling with drug addictions and suffering from depression.

At one hopeless point he isolated himself from the world for months, until he was set free by accepting the role of Jesus in the musical Hosanna. Richie will share the story of his downward spiral toward su***de that ultimately led to his salvation.

Richie's dynamic testimony inspires people searching for hope and want to experience the unconditional love of Jesus Christ.

Today we celebrate the hope, freedom, and new life found in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. What looked like the end became the greatest victory—and because He lives, we have purpose, we have hope, and we have new beginnings.

Through our work at Seneca Gospel and our Rise Coffeehouse, we see that resurrection power at work every day—in changed lives, in second chances, in growth, and in the strength of a community that refuses to give up on one another. Each step forward, no matter how small, is a reminder that God is still moving.
