☦️ 14th Sunday of St. Matthew ☦️

“Many are called, but few are chosen.” — Matthew 22:14

Today, we are reminded of God’s loving invitation to each of us. The Gospel calls us to prepare our hearts, not simply to hear God’s call, but to respond to it with faith, humility, and love.

May we open our hearts to Christ, put our faith into action, and live each day worthy of the invitation we have received.

🙏 Lord, help us to hear Your call and to follow You with our whole hearts.

🌽The corn is being shucked, the pasta salad is chillin', Justin set up the bounce house outside for the kiddos, and the weather promises to be perfect.☀️
🧺Annunciation Family Picnic is tomorrow Sunday, Sept 6th following Divine Liturgy at the Family Life Center in Lancaster. Bring a lawn chair if you wish, a dessert to pass and any fun lawn games. See you there! 🌻

On the 13th Sunday of St. Matthew, we welcomed Father Peter Ifran covering for Father Paul while he’s on vacation.

Reminder: Sunday, September 6 is the church Family Picnic after Liturgy at the Family Life Center.

On Sunday, September 13, services return to 146 West Utica with the beginning of the Sunday School year. ☦️

🍉ANNUAL PICNIC🍉
Our annual family picnic is planned for Sunday, September 6th
following the Divine Liturgy at the Family Life Center. Along with a
great picnic lunch, we have fun activities for kids of all ages. It
promises to be a lovely afternoon of love, faith and friendship.
There is no cost for this event however, we would like to know how

Orthodox Action Community Soup Kitchen
St Basil’s Food Pantry

On a beautiful summer afternoon we welcomed our guests for food and fellowship. Serving over 100 meals today, we’d like to thank Mrs. Joanne Gogos for her continued generous support to our ministry.

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Hamburg -Farm to Family who delivered fresh produce for St Basil’s Food Pantry distribution today. Two of our guests were delighted- they’re taking home their first fresh eggplant!

Our parish laid to rest today Michael Valantasis, who assisted in the early years of Orthodox Action. Many knew Mike from his work as a volunteer behind the bar for the Church’s annual Greek Festival. May God grant him rest where all the saints repose.
