We celebrate Pride month and all our LGBTQ+ community members who add so much simply by being exactly who God made them to be. We recognize the achievements, importance, and contributions of all LGBTQ+ community members.
We celebrate you!

The History of Pride Month
"The roots of the gay rights movement go back to the early 1900s, when a handful of individuals in North America and Europe created gay and le***an organizations such as the Society for Human Rights, founded by Henry Ge**er in Chicago in the 1920s.

Following World War II, a small number of groups like the Mattachine Society and the Daughters of Bilitis published gay- and le***an-positive newsletters and grew more vocal in demanding recognition for, and protesting discrimination against, g**s and le***ans. In 1966, for example, members of the Mattachine Society held a “sip-in” protest at Julius, a bar in New York City, where they demanded drinks after announcing that they were gay, in violation of local laws against serving alcohol to g**s and le***ans.

Despite some progress in the postwar era, basic civil rights were largely denied to gay, le***an, bisexual and transgender people—until one night in June, 1969 [Stonewall Riots, June 28, 1969], when the gay rights movement took a furious step forward with a series of violent riots in New York City...By the time the Stonewall Riots ended on July 2, 1969, the gay rights movement went from being a fringe issue largely ignored by politicians and the media to front-page news worldwide." - History.com

Join us for worship today, Sunday, May 31, 2026!

Today, we explore the fruit of gentleness. What if gentleness isn't weakness, but one of the strongest things we can practice? Join us as we explore Jesus' invitation in Matthew 11:28–30 and discover how releasing our grip on control can help us become people whose presence brings rest, grace, and room for others to flourish.

We are considering an all-church retreat for our community and invite your feedback to help gage interest. Although this is a new idea for our church, it is something that has been a highlight with other churches and is a large part of the culture of our Youth Ministry. We are thinking of Friday evening to Sunday afternoon within a two-hour drive or less.

Please take this short survey (less than a minute) to help us discern and plan accordingly.

The deadline to submit responses has been extended to June 7.

Thank you!
