Mountain & Prairie Youth Conference. This was a fantastic event comprised of youth from American Baptist Churchrs USA representing the various regions in the middle of the US.. It has been a fantastic event and i'm so grateful these 4 students from FBC Boone were able to go, to be challenged in their faith, to be encouraged and inspired. Our students are kind, generous, insightful, compassionate, beyond goofy and a delight to be around! Pray for us as we make the 12 hour trek home tomorrow.

A little taste of worship from the MPYC. Our music is being led by the First Kachin Baptist Church in America, Omaha Neb. Here is a short video of some of our singing. ABC-USA is one of the most ethnically diverse denominations. It's wonderful to see that demonstrated in our speaker, music leaders and participants.

Mountain & Prairie Youth Conference- Day 3
Small groups and a morning of lessons, sharing and activity. After lunch, the students went tubing down the mountain and hung out at the rec center for a bit. This evening was another powerful message from our speaker, DJ Dangerfield about God being with us in times of trouble and strife.

Mountain & Prairie Youth Conference Monday Highlights. Large group gathering, small groups and other activities. After lunch our crew went to the craft shop to paint some ceramics while I (Janell) transported another group for a hike. After the hike and crafts, a few of us played miniature golf. Supper time, evening worship with a wonderful word of encouragement that God calls us by name and we are his above all else and when we dont feel like we belong, we are God's. Board games and campfire. Pretty soon we'll do our devos and head to bed.

Mountain and Prairie Youth Conference...Gathered at 4 am, hit the road at 4:45 am. Arrived at YMCA of the Rockies, Snow Mountain Ranch in Colorado about 5:15pm(mt time). Dumped our stuff in our rooms, ran to snag some awesome supper and are gathered for our first session. I think we'll be ready to sleep tonight!
