Today we thank God for the many people who work faithfully to serve our families, school, church, community, and country.

From teachers and farmers to healthcare workers, business owners, first responders, volunteers, and so many others — we are grateful for the ways God uses our work to care for one another.

🍂 Ledges State Park is OPEN!

Just in time for fall road trips, Ledges State Park near Boone has reopened following a month-long road and parking improvement project.

The August work included resurfacing roads and parking areas, adding a new 14-space parking area, installing new trail signage, replacing a bridge along the Prairie Trails, erosion work and several other improvements throughout the park.

And there’s more happening this weekend: a ribbon cutting is scheduled for Saturday, September 5 at noon at the Canyon Entrance to celebrate the completed improvements.

If you’ve never explored Ledges, fall is one of my favorite times to visit. The sandstone cliffs, winding canyon road, creek crossings and changing leaves make this one of Iowa’s classic fall road trips. 🍁

❤️💙 Trinity Care Club is coming!

We are excited to introduce Trinity Care Club, our revamped before and after school care program for students in all-day preschool through 8th grade.

TCC will soft launch on Tuesday, September 8, with Chanin Larson serving as TCC Director. Families can expect structured activities, a healthy snack, and weekly or monthly registration options. 🍎

Seventh and eighth grade are ready for a great year!

Our Trinity 7th and 8th graders are stepping into the school year ready to learn, lead, grow, and encourage one another. These middle school years are filled with new challenges, new responsibilities, and many opportunities to use their God-given gifts.

We are excited to see this class grow in confidence, faith, friendship, and leadership as they stay rooted in Christ this year.

Fifth grade is ready for a great year!

Our Trinity 5th graders are stepping into a year full of learning, growing, leadership, friendships, and new challenges. We are excited to see them build confidence, encourage one another, and use their God-given gifts in the classroom and beyond.

We are thankful for this class and can’t wait to see all the ways they grow in faith, joy, and learning as they stay rooted in Christ this year.

Water Day was a splash!

A huge thank you to our Trinity PTL for giving students such a fun afternoon with an inflatable water slide, dump tank, plenty of bubbles, and Kona Ice!

It was a wonderful way to celebrate the start of the school year, enjoy time together, and make some great Trinity memories. We are so thankful for the parents and volunteers who helped make the day possible!

Each Friday, find a weekly collect to include in your prayers as well as a relevant resource in the comments below. This week, pray for church work students, that they would be encouraged and equipped for lives of service to Christ and the world.

That all parents would have the desire and resources to teach their children the sacred Scriptures, which are able to make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ; for all schools, administrators, teachers and students, that they would prepare young people for lives of service to Christ and our world; and for godly men and women who teach, that they would have the knowledge and skills necessary for their work, let us pray to the Lord: Lord, have mercy.

Second grade is ready for a wonderful year!

Our Trinity 2nd graders are beginning a new year full of learning, reading, writing, exploring, and growing together. We are excited to see their confidence grow as they take on new challenges, build friendships, and use their God-given gifts.
