Last Sunday, we had the joy of celebrating Pastor Ryan's birthday at Calvary Bisbee!

We are so thankful for your faithful leadership, servant's heart, and the love you have shown our church family. Your dedication to teaching God's Word and pointing others to Christ has been such a blessing to all of us.

As you begin another year, we pray that the Lord continues to guide your steps, strengthen your faith, and pour out His abundant blessings upon you and your family.

What a wonderful day at Calvary Bisbee! 💙

Last Sunday, we celebrated Baptism Sunday and had the joy of witnessing 6 people publicly declare their faith in Jesus Christ through baptism. It was a beautiful reminder of God's love, grace, and transforming power in the lives of His people.

After the baptisms, our church family gathered together for a delicious potluck meal filled with great food, fellowship, laughter, and encouragement. We are so thankful for everyone who participated and helped make the day so special.

Please join us in praying for those who took this important step of faith as they continue to grow in their walk with the Lord.

Sunday Service at Calvary Bisbee – June 14, 2026

What a special and memorable Sunday at Calvary Bisbee!

We took time to lovingly send off Pastor Ryan and Michelle Borquez as they begin a new chapter of ministry at Calvary Sierra Vista.

We are so thankful for their faithful service, leadership, friendship, and the impact they have made on our church family.
We also prayed over and wished Pastor Bill and Christian Bonner well as they step into this next season of life.
They will always be a part of the Calvary Bisbee family.

At the same time, we were excited to officially welcome our new pastor, Pastor Art Thomasson, and his wife Kim to Calvary Bisbee. We are looking forward to all that God has in store as they lead our fellowship in the days ahead.

Pastor Art taught from the second half of the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6, reminding us that God is restoring and refining His people. Some key points from the message included:

• God's name should be glorified above all else.
• God's kingdom and His will should be our priority.
• We are called to bring our daily needs and petitions before the Lord.
• God desires a daily, intimate relationship with us.
• Forgiveness is essential in the life of every believer.
• We can trust God because He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
• Temptation comes from our own flesh and the enemy, but God is faithful to strengthen us.
• Prayer keeps us close to the heart of God.

"Pray and have that intimate relationship with God."

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special service. We are excited to see what God will do in this new season at Calvary Bisbee! ❤️🙏

📖✨ This Sunday at Calvary Bisbee, we finished our study through the book of 2 Peter, ending in chapter 3 with a powerful reminder to stay grounded in Scripture and prepared for the return of Christ.

Pastor Ryan shared about stirring up our minds, guarding against false teaching, and living lives that reflect eternity.

This message was especially meaningful because it was Pastor Ryan’s last sermon here at Calvary Bisbee. It’s bittersweet to say goodbye, but we are excited to see what this next season holds for the Borquez family and their ministry at Calvary Sierra Vista.

Please keep them in your prayers as God leads them into this new chapter. ❤️

Sunday’s message at Calvary Bisbee with Pastor Ryan really spoke to our hearts.

📖 2 Peter 1:16–21 & 2 Peter 2:1–3

We talked about how we know Jesus truly is the Messiah not because of feelings or experiences alone, but because of the truth of Scripture. God’s Word is our foundation and our protection.

“This world is a dark place, but walking with God gives us a light that shines through the darkness.” ✨
A few reminders that stood out to me today:
• Scripture is the final authority
• Don’t elevate experiences above God’s Word
• Jesus lived a sinless life and died for our sins
• God protects us through His Word from false teaching

So thankful for biblical teaching that points us back to Jesus and His truth. ❤️🙏
