Ladies of Charity - Central Alabama The Ladies of Charity (LOC) is a community-based association of women who contribute time and talent in services to the poor and vulnerable.

LOC meets on the first Wed. of the month at 11:30am in the Joseph Room at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church. We answered the call to help World Mission Rosary in making 75,000 sets of rosary beads for the Fulton Sheen Beatification- planned for Sept 24 in Peoria, IL. Bishop Sheen designed the distinctive rosary sets in 1951. Each color represents a continent where missionaries are bringing The Good News of Jesus. We pledged to make 1,000 rosaries and are almost done! We held multiple rosary making parties and sent members home with supplies to make rosaries to help meet this goal. We will continue to work toward this goal through the end of August.
