Triumph of Hope Encountering Jesus, Transforming Lives.

10/23/2026

In today’s day and age, it is easy and tempting to mimic or neglect a vibrant Christian life altogether. However, throughout the scriptures and church history, we find men and women alike who made it their ambition to press into God no matter the cost. They would intentionally lessen their pursuit of other things to more radically pursue one thing- JESUS. This is our call as believers.

It’s hard to dislike someone you are praying for. In fact the more you pray for someone, the more tenderhearted you will feel toward them. The same principle applies to praying for our nation. The more we pray for America, the more we will love this nation. God doesn’t recommend that we pray for our country and its leaders, He commands that we do so. (1 Timothy 2:1–2, Jeremiah 29:7). Prayer for your nation should be passionate, fervent, humble, loving, and full of faith. Watch this episode and engage in powerful prayer for America.

Galatians 2:20 says, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.”

Ann Allen Salter, who wrote the Discipleship Bootcamp curriculum, challenges us to look at our right hand and picture that verse tattooed right there, like a scar we can’t miss. Our flesh is more toxic than most people realize, and following Jesus means learning to crucify it so His life can be lived through us. In Discipleship Bootcamp, we’ll talk a lot about what that looks like.

Registration for Spring 2027 Discipleship Bootcamp opens soon, with two group options:

Option 1: In-person women’s group in Birmingham, Thursday mornings

Option 2: Online group, Tuesday evenings
Both groups begin the week of January 3.

God has always wanted to dwell with His people.

His glory filled the tabernacle Moses built. Then the Word became flesh and dwelt among us in Jesus. Now, through the Holy Spirit, He makes His home in us.

Tamra Richardt grew up in a Spirit-filled church watching God move in powerful ways. In today’s devotional, We the Tabernacle, she shares what she’s been discovering about the Holy Spirit and what it means for us to be His dwelling place. Many believers think of the Holy Spirit as a force or a feeling. Scripture shows us a Person who knows, loves, and can be grieved.

Jesus called Him “another Helper,” one just like Himself (John 14:16). So the real question isn’t how to get more of the Holy Spirit. It’s how He can have more of you. 🕊️

Save this and come back to it this week.

Discipleship isn’t only about what we learn. It’s about who we become. Scripture says God has made us a kingdom of priests, called to carry His presence and His Word to the people around us. In Discipleship Bootcamp, we spend time in God’s Word together so that His truth shapes how we think, speak, and respond.

For Cori Dillon, that meant learning to encourage others with Scripture. Now, when someone around her is struggling, she points them back to their identity in Christ: you are a child of God!

Sometimes the things we hold on to most tightly, even our own plans, quietly take the place God alone deserves.

Surrender hurts because it’s personal. But when we lay everything down before Him, God blesses our obedience.
