NEW CAMPUS MINISTER
Please join me in welcoming Mr. Andrew Goode to the BHM Catholic family! Andrew will start on Tuesday, September 8 - the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Andrew is married to Megan, and they have two sons: Jeremiah (2) and Gregory (born very recently - and his feast day is today!). Megan is a public school teacher. Both are converts to the Catholic faith, and Andrew previously was a Protestant minister, having gone to Protestant seminary and gotten his Master of Divinity degree. While not helping Megan raise the family and working as Campus Minister at BHM Catholic and Youth Minister at the Cathedral of Saint Paul, Andrew is also working toward a Doctorate in Sacred Scripture. Let’s look forward to welcoming him and getting to know him!

SAYONARA & GODSPEED, MATTHEW!
Seminarian Matthew Pickard attended St. Stephen’s Chapel when he was in high school, before matriculating at the U.S. Naval Academy. For the past two years, he has been studying at Notre Dame Seminary for the Diocese of Birmingham in Alabama. Recently, Matthew announced that he will continue discerning the priesthood, albeit as a Dominican Friar. He applied to the Western Province of the Dominicans and was accepted, and in about a month will report to St. Dominic’s in San Francisco for the brief postulancy before becoming a Novice — at which point he will receive the Dominican habit and his religious name. Matthew’s intellectual gifts and love of community suit him well for a Dominican vocation, and we wish him all the best as he embarks on this new chapter of discernment!
