Texted you first thing this morning.

Now with a few minutes left at the end of my day…

27 years ago today our almost 10 pound oldest boy changed our lives.

Caleb Wayne Harris.
Caleb “well able”
Wayne “builder”-

I cannot recall how many times I’ve heard you say, “I got it Dad.” Living out your given name.

From the halls of Southwest Academy, to the challenging curriculum of the Texas Boys Academy to Xavier University, now to the University of Houston- you got it Son.

You got it my “k Wayne”- godly proud.

Happy Birthday.

This is not a moment for spectators.
This is a moment for movement.

In a time when decisions are being made that echo us backwards, we cannot afford to treat faith like performance.

This ain’t no parade.

Our faith is not just something we carry—it is something we use. It is a weapon for justice, for truth, and for standing in the gap when systems try to push us back.

TONIGHT, I’m revisiting this powerful word:
“This Ain’t No Parade: Re-examining and Re-imagining ‘The Shield of Faith’ as a Weapon of Justice” (Ephesians 6:16).

📅 TONIGHT, Sunday, May 3rd @ 6PM CST
🕊 Virtual Worship Gathering
📍 Streaming on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
()

While we normally gather in person on first Sundays, this week we will be VIRTUAL ONLY- so wherever you are, you can still be in the room.

Don’t just watch. Come ready. Come engaged. Come expecting.

The video has now been released.

And what we feared… has been laid bare. The truth we have been speaking for nearly 365 now undeniable.

I REPEAT:

“I did not need a video to know that something was wrong—
but now the world cannot unsee what we have been saying.”

We were right. Every call for transparency. Every demand for justice. Every insistence that the system’s narrative could not be trusted—we were right!

Jabari Peoples should still be alive today.
No explanation. No story spun by authorities. No delay in releasing evidence can erase that fact.

“I have watched the footage—and what I saw was not justice.
What I saw demands accountability.”

We were told to wait.

We were told to trust the process.

We were told to stay calm.

But here is the truth: delay did not protect justice—it protected the powerful. Delay shielded the narrative they wanted, not the reality we knew.

“Delay is not neutral.
Delay is complicity.”

To the family of Jabari Peoples—we stand with you.

To this community—we grieve with you.
But hear me clearly: our grief will not be silent, our outrage will not be ignored.

“We will not shop where we are shot.
We will not fund systems that fail to value our lives.”

This is not anger without purpose—this is righteous demand rooted in truth.
We called it exactly as it was- and now the world sees it.

“The release of this video is not the end—
it is the beginning of accountability.”

And until justice is real, visible, undeniable, and equitable-

“We will not be quiet.
We will not be still.
And we will not go away.”
