What do we mean by "Worship," "Serve," and "Grow?" Join us for Connection Classes and find out! Come to all three sessions, or pick the ones you are interested in.

September 13 – Worship
Led by Rev. Mike Holly and Rev. Robert Mercer, this session explores worship styles, the order of worship, significance of hymns vs. modern worship music, and the impact of John Wesley on our worship style.

September 20 – Serve
Led by Rev. Maggie Dunaway, Angie Gongwer and Brooke Wolde, this session focuses on Jesus' call to serve, Asbury's mission efforts, local and international partnerships, and opportunities to volunteer within our community.

September 27– Grow
Led by Rev. Michael Bowman, this session covers our vision and values across all age groups, programming for preschool to senior adults, the importance of small groups, and connection.

Welcome to Asbury UMC! Throughout the "Take the High Road" sermon series, our pastors have explained that the low road is fueled by selfish ambition and pride, leading us to devalue both God and others. The high road, on the other hand, is motivated by love—valuing people, caring for them, and wanting to help them. Today we're talking about aligning with Jesus' motives. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! ⚠

Our Anchor Community Respite Ministry provides fellowship and stimulation to people who are living with memory loss due to dementia or stroke.

This ministry cannot happen without volunteers, and we are more in need than ever. If we have more people help, then those on our waiting list can participate in our programming.

This fall, Asbury will be hosting Pumpkin Patch for our surrounding community from September 28–October 30, and we need you to help make it happen! 🎃

You can earn Youth Service Funds by volunteering, so this is a great opportunity for students and parents to serve together while earning money toward future student ministry trips and events.

Our biggest immediate need is September 29, when the pumpkins are delivered. We need 20 volunteers to help unload and get the patch ready!

Asbury seeks to embody the way of Jesus, together, as we worship, serve, and grow.

That word, together, is important to us. We believe following Jesus is not a solitary act, but one that’s done in community.

Our small groups are small communities of individuals who know one another and provide the environment in which one can be their true self. As the community becomes established, it becomes a safe place for our curiosity. This group is a place where we can ask questions of God, the Bible, and ourselves.

As this happens, we begin to walk in the way of Jesus, which is the way of communion.

Welcome to Asbury on this TOGETHER SUNDAY! The way of Jesus is the high road of building bridges rather than widening divides. While it may be easier to separate, manipulate, or dismiss people, Jesus brings people together—fishermen and tax collectors, Pharisees and sinners—because a house divided cannot stand. Discipleship calls us to move toward others, look for common ground, recognize the good in every person, express gratitude, build meaningful relationships, and pray with and for others. In Christ, we are not defined by our differences but united by Him. Scan the QR codes in worship to note attendance, submit prayer requests, and give to the ministries of Asbury.
