We are looking for a drummer to play with our praise band. This ensemble is one part of a very vibrant music ministry and provides music to the weekly worship services on Sunday morning about twice a month. We rehearse every Thursday evening at 6:30 in the Sanctuary. Our music styles cover a wide range including some contemporary Christian, gospel, even jazz. If you're looking for an opportunity to share your musical talents, contact Chris Warrington, Director of Music at the church ([email protected]).

What an incredible time we had at the Olney Memory Care. We danced with the Seniors, played bingo, had a time for praise and prayer together. We are so blessd to have these young men ministering to the folks there. BUMC is blessed in having a beautiful Youth and Young Adult group. Enjoy the pictures!

God of Peace and Justice,

You who formed the earth and all its peoples,
Look with mercy upon the nations caught in the web of conflict—especially, the United States, Israel, Gaza, Iran, Ukraine and Russia.

We pray for leaders on every side:
Give them wisdom beyond their own understanding,
A vision not of domination, but of healing and hope.
Let their decisions be shaped by the sacred worth of every life,
Not by vengeance or fear, but by the longing for peace.

Gracious God,
Break the cycle of violence,
Disarm hearts before hands,
And awaken in all of us a deep commitment
To seek justice without war,
And to pursue peace with courage.

We trust in your Spirit,
Moving even now across borders and boundaries,
Calling us to be peacemakers in a broken world.
