Am HaTorah Congregation Am HaTorah is a close-knit Orthodox synagogue where all Jews are welcome.

We hold regular Shabbat and Holiday services, as well as classes on traditional Jewish texts, Hebrew reading and comprehension. Am HaTorah is affiliated with the Orthodox Union (OU) and the Rabbinical Council of Greater Washington.

Am HaTorah will host a discussion of the meaning of an annual 3-week mourning period for an ancient Temple. After the discussion, there will be evening services beginning at 7:50 PM.

Our current Rabbi, Rabbi Yehoshua Singer, will be leaving Am HaTorah for another opportunity at the end of July. We wish him well in his new position.

In-person services will continue as usual. In particular, we will hold Shabbat morning services at our location at 5909 Bradley Boulevard. Shacharit begins at 9:15 am and services are followed by Kiddush. We look forward to seeing you there!

Our program of internet classes/discussions will be temporarily somewhat abbreviated. Stay tuned for additional information.
