Beach baptisms! What a beautiful morning celebrating new life in Jesus. 🌊🤍

Today at Alameda Beach, Sharon and Harmony publicly declared their faith through baptism. What an incredible reminder that Jesus is still changing lives, redeeming hearts, and making all things new.

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation, a declaration that the old is gone and new life has begun in Christ.

We’re so thankful to celebrate this milestone with Sharon and Harmony and can’t wait to see how God continues to move in their lives. 🙌

Shame is a liar with a loud voice.

Guilt says I did something bad. Shame says I am something bad. One leads you to the cross. The other keeps you hiding in the bushes like Adam.

Here’s the thing, God went looking for Adam. He didn’t shout from a distance. He walked into the garden and asked, “Where are you?” Not because He didn’t know. Because He wanted Adam to come out from behind the leaves.

You can’t renovate your way out of shame. You need bara, new creation.

5 steps to stop letting shame run your life:
1. Name it. Shame survives in the dark. Say the thing out loud, to God, to one trusted person. “I feel ashamed about ___.” Naming it strips its power.
2. Separate the act from the identity. You are not your worst moment. Repent for what you did. Refuse to accept a label for who you are.
3. Replace the voice. Shame speaks in your own voice, which is why it sounds true. Answer it with Scripture, not self-talk. “There is therefore now no condemnation.” (Romans 8:1)
4. Stop hiding. Shame’s strategy is isolation. Confess to someone safe. James 5:16, healing comes in the confessing, not just the sorrow.
5. Receive, don’t earn. You cannot punish yourself into being clean. That’s renovation. Grace is creation from nothing. Let Him wash you.

Come out of the bushes. He’s already calling your name. 🕊️
