*DATE:* THURSDAY, JUNE 11th 2026
*THEME:* THE COMMAND TO LOVE

*BIBLE READING:*
John 15:12-17
12. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.
13. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.
14. You are my friends if you do what I command.
15. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.
16. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit that will last and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.
17. This is my command: Love each other.

*MESSAGE:*
Today, we celebrate St. Barnabas the Apostle. Barnabas was a son of consolation who demonstrated the love of Christ by welcoming Paul into the Church when nobody else was willing to welcome him (Acts 9:27-29). The text today presents us with the emphasis Jesus Christ places on the importance of His followers' love for one another. Jesus makes us to see that His main commandment for His followers centers on love. He stresses that what makes His disciples His friends is simply in their obedience to His commandment (v.13). The commandment here is that His disciples love one another (v.12). In other words, the followers of Christ are left with no other option than to love one another just as Christ has loved them.
Beloved, this is another wake up call for you to examine the kind of love you exhibit in your daily life towards the brethren. True love of Christ goes beyond denomination, race, nationality and colour. It extends beyond your personal convictions and judgment of other people's interest. It is about forgiving the faults of others without any resentment. True love will always fills our hearts with peace, joy and compassion. It is never judgmental and does not justify sin. You need to examine the kind of love you exhibit if it is in line with Christ's love. The love of Christ, when truly displayed, will bring comfort and consolation to people around. Be determined to obey the commandments of the Lord to love your fellow Christians, even when it is not convenient.

*PRAYER:*
Dear God, Help me to always reflect your love in Christ in my daily life in Jesus Wonderful Name, Amen ooooooooo

_THE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE.
*DATE:* TUESDAY, JUNE 09th 2026
*THEME:* IT IS BY FAITH, NOT BY THE LAW

*BIBLE READING:*
Galatians 3 : 1 - 9
1. You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified.
2. I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard?
3. Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?
4. Have you experienced so much in vain if it really was in vain?
5. So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?
6. So also Abraham "believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."
7. Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham.
8. Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: "All nations will be blessed through you."
9. So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.

*MESSAGE:*
One basic problem of the Church in Galatia was that of soaking in the observance of the Law and making it mandatory for the Christian faith. In other words, they claimed to have surrendered to Christ but refused to let go their previous traditions and beliefs. Paul addressed this issue clearly. He referred to them as “foolish Galatians." Paul felt pain that in spite of the fact that the Galatians were aware of how Jesus Christ sacrificed Himself for their redemption, they still chose to follow the observance of the law instead of standing solely in the faith of Jesus Christ (vv. 1-6).
Beloved, our faith in Jesus Christ is the anchor that will cause all things to stand. There are different places of worship today which practise unscriptural beliefs. They combine all sorts of things with Christianity and the innocent ones follow them without a second thought. It is true that men love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil (John 3:19) but you are not unaware of the price that bought you from darkness and translated you into the marvelous light of God (1Cor. 6:20). Jesus Christ did it all. Therefore, your faith in Him alone guarantees eternal salvation. Do not allow anyone to deceive you. Just keep following Jesus Christ; you can never miss your way if you do.

*PRAYER:*
Father; strengthen me to always look by faith unto The Lamb of Calvary in Jesus Marvelous Name, Amen ooooooooo.

*DATE:* MONDAY, JUNE 08th 2026
*THEME:* BEWARE OF HYPOCRISY

*BIBLE READING:*
Galatians 2 : 11 - 21
11. When Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned.
12. For before certain men came from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he began to draw back and separate himself from the Gentiles because he was afraid of those who belonged to the circumcision group.
13. The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was led astray.
14. When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas in front of them all, "You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it, then, that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs?
15. "We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles
16. know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
17. "But if, in seeking to be justified in Christ, we Jews find ourselves also among the sinners, doesn't that mean that Christ promotes sin? Absolutely not!
18. If I rebuild what I destroyed, then I really would be a lawbreaker.
19. "For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God.
20. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
21. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"

*MESSAGE:*
Hypocrisy is when someone pretends to believe something that is opposite to what he does. It involves presenting oneself in one way and acting in another. In other words, it is an act of deception. Peter was confronted with this act of hypocrisy by Paul because of the attitude of Peter eating with the Gentiles before the arrival of the Jews but changing his position as soon as He knew that some Jews were around. It is noteworthy that Peter was supposed to be a defender of the faith in Christ but he failed to act appropriately. Painfully, Peter's behaviour also affected some brethren who were Jews like Barnabas (vv. 11-14).
Beloved, you don't need to live in deceit or hypocrisy. This is not part of the teachings of Christ to His Church. Christians are supposed to be true at all times and not claim to be who we are not. Christians must not be like a chameleon but be true to their confessions, whether in the open or in secret. Whatever we do, whether good or bad, can influence those around us. We must be careful not to lure innocent souls into the pit by our unbalanced Christian lives. Our 'Yes' must always be 'Yes” and our 'No' must be 'No.' If we are standing for Christ, we must stand with the whole of our hearts and be ready to defend our faith, whether it is convenient or not.

*PRAYER:*
Father; give me grace to always stand without deceit before you in Jesus Lovely Name, Amen oooooo

_THE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE.
*DATE:* SATURDAY, JUNE 6th 2026
*THEME:* THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST IS UNIVERSAL

*BIBLE READING:*
Galatians 2 : 1 - 10
1. Then after fourteen years, I went up again to Jerusalem, this time with Barnabas. I took Titus along also.
2. I went in response to a revelation and, meeting privately with those esteemed as leaders, I presented to them the gospel that I preach among the Gentiles. I wanted to be sure I was not running and had not been running my race in vain.
3. Yet not even Titus, who was with me, was compelled to be circumcised, even though he was a Greek.
4. This matter arose because some false believers had infiltrated our ranks to spy on the freedom we have in Christ Jesus and to make us slaves.
5. We did not give in to them for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might be preserved for you.
6. As for those who were held in high esteem whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not show favoritism they added nothing to my message.
7. On the contrary, they recognized that I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been to the circumcised.
8. For God, who was at work in Peter as an apostle to the circumcised, was also at work in me as an apostle to the Gentiles.
9. James, Cephas and John, those esteemed as pillars, gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship when they recognized the grace given to me. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised.
10. All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along.

*MESSAGE:*
The mission of Jesus Christ is not to a particular section of the human race but to the entire world. The mission statement in John 3:16 shows clearly that no group of the human race is left out in the salvation plan of God. Our text today reveals how Paul noted clearly that he was an apostle by grace to the Gentiles (the uncircumcised) while Peter, James and John, had the mandate of taking the Gospel of Christ to the circumcised (vv. 7-9). Ultimately, the two missions came from the same source and fulfil the same purpose of making Jesus Christ known and accepted by everyone everywhere. This shows the universal nature of the mission and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Beloved, wherever people are present, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is relevant. The mission of Christ is both to the Church and the unbelieving. The reason for the constant preaching of the Gospel is to ensure it gets to all. You cannot be indifferent - you have a part to play. God has sent you as an ambassador to bear His name in such places you find yourself regularly. Let your light shine brightly before men so that when you invite them to join your faith, they will be glad to embrace the salvation of Christ. You too can preach the Gospel. Be on mission for the Lord.

*PRAYER:*
Father, let me not waste the grace you have given me. Let me use it for your purpose in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen ooooooooo

_THE DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE.
*DATE:* FRIDAY, JUNE 5th 2026
*THEME:* WE NEED ONE ANOTHER

*BIBLE READING:* Galatians 1 : 18 - 24
18. Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to get acquainted with Cephas and stayed with him fifteen days.
19. I saw none of the other apostle only James, the Lord's brother.
20. I assure you before God that what I am writing you is no lie.
21. Then I went to Syria and Cilicia.
22. I was personally unknown to the churches of Judea that are in Christ.
23. They only heard the report: "The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy."
24. And they praised God because of me.

*MESSAGE:*
Paul was a great apostle of all times. He was also a great instrument in the Kingdom of Christ. Our text today clearly rehearses his salvation story. Paul told the Galatians how he went to Jerusalem after his conversion and stayed with Peter for fifteen days and this stay, was for fellowship and encouragement. Peter, though one of the foremost disciples of Jesus Christ, was not as learned as Paul; he was a fisherman (Luke 5:1-3; Acts 4:13). Yet, Paul found it important to stay with him for fifteen days.
Beloved, it is a dangerous thing to attempt to make oneself an island in the practice of the Christian faith. No Christian is independent; we are all inter-dependent (Romans 12: 4 & 5). The educated need the uneducated, just as the rich need the less privileged members of the Church. We all need one another in order to grow in the practice of our faith. God has ordained that none of us functions independently; He delights in our genuine fellowship with one another. Therefore, remember that you need to connect to other believers in Christ so as to grow and maintain a healthy Christian life. Never look down on your fellow believers; do not claim superiority over anyone around you. Even if it is obvious that you are better than someone else, it is by God's grace (1 Cor. 4:7). We will always need one another; do not look down on anyone.

*PRAYER:*
Father, give me a genuine heart of fellowship without discrimination in Jesus Precious Name, Amen oooooo.
