During last week's 90-degree heat wave, a guest stopped by in need of a snack. Pastor Birgitte took a few minutes to listen, visit, and make sure he had something to eat. Simple acts of compassion are what we always strive for, trying to help our community one person at a time.

Thank you to the lovely, anonymous friend who sent us a whole BOX of shoes off our Amazon wish list! They also sent a number of brand new pants and undergarments off our list. These are SO needed, to the point where we sometimes have to spend some of our own dollars getting these necessities, and the demand is so hard to keep up with. We LOVE this community!

A huge thank you to Otter Tail Power Company for the generous rebates we got as a result of all our lighting and appliance upgrades from our construction project! And a personal thank you to Lacie (pictured right), who made it happen. This was a total of $6,675, which we can now use to buy supplies to help those in need. What a great way to put money back into the community!

Did you hear we have a new cafe coming to downtown Bemidji? The thoughtful owner brought us some of their test baked goods that we will feed to our brothers and sisters experiencing homelessness today! We can tell you these baked goods are verrry tasty and we highly recommend! Thank you Phases Cafe!!

A very special thank you to St Philip's Confirmation Class, who carefully hand-packed care packages for us to hand out! Each one is an individual gallon ziploc bag filled with hygiene supplies, snacks, and a water bottle. These have already gone to good use helping our brothers and sisters in need right here in the community.
