Saint Mark's has been serving the community since 1789, when an oxcart brought the family to the log building located on a bluff by the Ohio River, surrounded by cedar trees. Today, not only does Saint Mark's still offer Sunday School Classes and a Worship Service every Sunday, but throughout the week, also operates a Nursery School open to all children ages four and five years old regardless of r

ace, color, religion, s*x creed or national origin. Mark’s United Methodist Church of Belpre, Oh. A pastor since 1980, Pastor Hubbard has served other churches in Dayton, OH and Kentucky. Pastor Hubbard received his undergraduate degree from Kentucky Wesleyan College and his Master of Divinity from United Theological Seminary, Dayton, Ohio. He was ordained an Elder in the United Methodist Church in 1990.

Save the Date!! On Sunday, June 28,2026, we will celebrate Pastor Dave Hubbard’s retirement at St. Mark’s UMC, 302 3rd Street, Belpre, Ohio. Worship service starts at 11:00am, and we will gather after the service in the fellowship hall about 12:15pm.
It’s a Cincinnati Reds theme, so wear your Reds T-shirts and hats if you have them!
A light lunch will be provided- Hot dogs, chips, cake, coffee, lemonade and water.
We are preparing a Memory Book for him, so please bring a note written to Pastor Dave. You may put your notes in an envelope and send them ahead of time to St. Mark’s UMC , 302 3rd Street, Belpre, OH 45714, ATTN: Jeanette Biddinger
Please help us spread the word to all those who wish to honor Pastor Dave and his 30 years of service to many area United Methodist churches including the present churches of St. Mark’s, Norwood and Faith. Thank you!
