We had some graduates over last night, it's been a while. We discovered they love Mexican food! It was fun to teach a few of them how to make pico de gallo and carnitas. What we REALLY loved was that one of them said, "It's family night!" while she was videoing everyone hanging out. We are thankful that God has provided us a home to invite others into and have a space to enjoy a meal together and catch up in the middle of the busy-ness of life. Lots of fun and laughter!

One of the most beautiful things about living cross-culturally are the deep friendships that develop into chosen family.... and one of the hardest things are the goodbyes that often come with the chosen family members as they are called elsewhere. This week was heavy... it brought many tears of sadness, and tears of joy and thankfulness for the love and the memories shared. Though we might not see them every week, we know that we have family in other places around the world now. We are living in the paradox of both sadness and thankfulness...we love our family away from family!

Update for clarity: We are not leaving Thailand, but we had several friends leave last week. We continue to thank you for your love and support of our family and work here in Thailand.

So proud of our staff organizing this event for children struggling to be able to stay in school. We are thankful to be a part of something bigger than ourselves and making an impact on young lives.

Today we hosted a scholarship celebration for the 56 children and their families receiving scholarships this year. These young men and women from Kindergarten through University are working hard to complete their education and open the doors for their future. Thank you to all of you for supporting education and making this possible. If you would like to find out more or contribute, check the link in the comments. , , , ,

We made it back to our guys in Thailand yesterday safe and sound!!! (I guess I was more tired than I thought....I thought I posted this yesterday! LoL).

We are jumping in this weekend with a family workshop and educational scholarship celebration. Prayers appreciated for this event as we partner with local authorities to bring online awareness to vulnerable families.
