🍇🍉🍊🍓It’s been an amazing first week of BCA “Fruit of The Spirit” camp! 🍎🍓🍒🍎🍌🍊

The fruit of the spirit in focus this week was LOVE and the campers enjoyed so many amazing events themed around this including baking projects, a pinewood derby race track day, a mural painting day, so many outside games and activities, crafts and take home projects, special trivia and group games, popsicles and sidewalk chalk and more!

What an amazing summer these students are having at BCA!

Meet Our New Beaverdam Christian Academy Third Grade Teacher, Mrs. Maybush!

You may have already seen Mrs. Maybush around the school with her daughter, Gigi! She says she has been blessed to witness the wonderful impact Beaverdam Christian Academy has on students and their families and is excited to officially become part of the school community. Mrs. Maybush grew up in Hanover County but is relatively new to the Beaverdam area.
She recently completed her bachelor's degree in American History, a subject she is very passionate about. She began pursuing this degree at 18 years old and was determined to finish it as an example to her daughter that anything is possible with God’s help, dedication and perseverance.

God has instilled in Mrs. Maybush a passion for education, and she hopes to share that passion with her students. Her dream is to help young learners discover that education can be both meaningful and enjoyable. When she is not spending time with her family and their four dogs, she enjoys working on her history podcast and reading a good book.
Mrs. Maybush is grateful for the path God has placed before her and looks forward to serving the students and families of Beaverdam Christian Academy this year.

Beaverdam Christian Academy is so excited to introduce you to our newest teacher for the 2026-2027 year!

🌟 📚🎓Meet our brand new 6th grade teacher, Ms. Mills! 🌟 📚🎓

April Mills, a native Texan, grew up in Spain when her parents became missionaries with the IMB when she was twelve. She has travelled to much of Europe and Israel while living in Spain. She speaks Spanish, is an avid reader and book collector, and loves to sing and drink tea (but not at the same time). She has three cats and loves Highland cows. April attended Ouachita Baptist University and earned a BSE degree in early childhood education. She has been teaching or working with children in some capacity for over twenty years. She has taught Pre-K through 8th grade. Her favorite teaching moment is the “lightbulb moment”: when a child recognizes and understands a concept. She is excited about the sixth grade program at BCA. She can’t wait to see what they achieve!

BBC is excited to announce that River City Volleyball Academy will be holding a Free Volleyball Clinic for boys and girls, ages 8-13, on Wednesday, June 24, 6:00pm - 8:00pm, at Beaverdam Baptist! While the kids are learning volleyball techniques and having a ball, parents and guardians are invited to our Men's and Women’s Wednesday Night Bible Studies during the same hours.
