The LORD upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. -Psalm 145: 14

Lord, to those who have fallen; upholding the ideals and values of our freedom-loving nation, we give you thanks. Amen.

We were blessed to hear an outstanding message at Baccalaureate from Josh Tollison of Lighthouse Harbor Church. His message, “What Does It Mean To Be Good?”, challenged and encouraged our graduates to set Jesus Christ as the Chief Cornerstone over their lives and to always turn to “The Book” — the Bible — for truth, wisdom, and direction.

In just 25 minutes, Josh shared powerful instruction and wisdom that will stay with many of us for years to come. He left the students with three important questions to guide their lives:

1. Do I love the Lord with all my heart, soul, and mind?
2. What does The Book say?
3. What does Jesus want me to do right now?
He reminded everyone that the only firm foundation is Jesus Christ and encouraged our graduates to build their lives upon Him.

Thank you, Rev. Josh Tollison, for delivering such a timely and impactful Word to our students and community at this year’s Baccalaureate service.

Yesterday, we were blessed to have our monthly luncheon hosted by Legacy Oaks of Azle. We are so thankful for the way our community partners together for Christ and supports the mission of bringing faith leaders, businesses, and community members together.

Our message was brought by AAMA President Alton Davis, and it was a wonderful time of encouragement, connection, and Christ-centered community.

Be sure to mark your calendars for next month’s luncheon on June 9th at The Abbey Church. We would love to see you there!

We are still in awe of the way God moved at Thursday’s National Day of Prayer – Azle!

From the opening moments as the AHS Chorale sang “I Sing Because I’m Happy,” to Bishop Leah’s inspiring challenge to boldly share the Gospel, to the powerful prayers offered by our community leaders, the day was filled with faith, unity, and the presence of the Lord. Singing “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms” together, sharing food and fellowship, and gathering as one body in Christ made for an incredible day that truly glorified Him.

Our gathering reminded us of the call in Hebrews 10 to “not neglect meeting together.” More than 290 people came together to honor God, pray for our community, families, schools, churches, businesses, military, first responders, government leaders, and healthcare workers, and praise Him for His many blessings.

So many people helped make this day possible. Behind the scenes, we are especially thankful for Terri Bartlett and her decorating team from Azle Good N.E.W.S., who transformed the venue with beautiful patriotic and Christian décor. We are also grateful to MrJims.Pizza Azle for providing backup pizzas for overflow guests, Jason's Deli for supplying 20 veggie spinach wraps, Outdoor World & BuyaZeroTurn.com for donating 120 water bottles, and Sutton Printing for generously providing the 300 programs and inserts for the event

We are blessed to live in a community that is unashamed of the Gospel — and it shows.

As Bishop Leah said, “This is not normal, y’all.”

Praise the Lord! Now let’s go out and share the love of Christ with the world.
