Let’s go, Silver Creek family! 💙🏆

Let’s participate in memory of Mary and in support of our community! Register for the Azle Lake Run on Saturday, November 7, and help Silver Creek bring home the Traveling Church Trophy!

👟 10K • 5K • 1-Mile Color Run
Walk, jog, stroll, or run—bring your dog and invite your neighbors! Select Silver Creek Methodist Church when registering so your participation counts!

Last year, the Azle Area Ministerial Alliance donated $15,000 back to the Azle community from this event’s proceeds. Every registration helps us give back!

🎶 The high school band will play along the route.
🇺🇸 The high school choir will sing the National Anthem.
📣 ACS cheerleaders will keep you encouraged!

Our own Holly Killough serves on the planning committee—let’s make her proud and show up with plenty of Silver Creek spirit! 🙌

Register at www.runazle.org

🏆 SAME FAITH. FRIENDLY RIVALRY. ONE TRAVELING TROPHY! 😉

Silver Creek Methodist Church vs. First Methodist Church of Azle—which church will bring the MOST participants to the Azle Lake Run?

Both churches are T-shirt sponsors this year, and we’re grateful for their generosity! Now, let’s see who can fill those shirts with runners, walkers, and smiling church friends! 💙

📣 ALL churches are invited to compete for the Traveling Church Trophy! Another congregation could swoop in and take the bragging rights! 👀🏆

Recruit your Sunday school class, youth group, choir, neighbors, and family. Run, jog, walk, or stroll—this challenge is about how many show up, not how fast you finish!

Hey, Church Family! Let's come out in memory of Mary Vogle and in support of our community through the Azle Area Ministerial Alliance's Azle Lake Run.

At Mary's funeral, I learned that she was an avid runner AND supporter of the Azle Lake Run. Please read below a portion of her story and love of God, country, community, and family!

It's a great time to come together to support local non-profits. Last year, the AAMA gave $15,000 back to the Azle community and schools. The more participants who enter, the more money is given.

Use AAMA2026 or HORNETS for $5 off.
Also, NEW this year: a Traveling Church Trophy! Let's win this SCMC! Last year, we had 7 church members participate.

God, Country, Family
Today, we honored our country at the start of the Lord's Acre - Silver Creek Methodist Church. Thank you to the Civil Air Patrol and Azle High School for making the flag-raising and singing the National Anthem extra special. Our own Bob Sims shared a patriotic poem that he wrote. Beautiful start to a day that honored our Lord!
