Our Outreach Ministry's "Seasons of Giving" effort is collecting school supplies to support families in need in Hartford County. The recipient organizations are , and Grace Lutheran Church. Supplies needed include: pens, #2 pencils, colored pencils, pencil cases, sharpeners, erasers, thick and thin markers, crayons, highlighters, individual colored pocket folders, single subject spiral notebooks, glue sticks, rulers, water bottles, lunch boxes, thumb drives, and backpacks. Especially markers and pencils!

Your participation in the School Supplies Drive is very much appreciated. School supplies can be brought directly to the church and monetary donations can be made to The Village using this link:

Support The Village’s Back-to-School Drive to provide backpacks, school supplies, Dignity Grows totes that contain menstrual and hygiene products, and uniforms for more than 1,000 children in Greater.

Last Sunday was our final worship service in the sanctuary for three months as the Refresh Our Sacred Space project begins.

This morning was our first service in the Hall of the Evangelists where we will worship for the summer months.

Both were special, Spirit-filled occasions!

Now, at St. Matthew, you can feel even safer in our pews after a number of our staff, council members, and volunteers gathered together this week to undergo fire extinguisher training! A special thank you to the local Avon Volunteer Fire Department for coming out to lead and supervise this safety class.
