With much appreciation for all of the donations, our social and environmental justice ministry team is proud to announce the completion of the meal kits that will be distributed to those with food insecurity from the Torrington food pantry. Thank thank you to all who rolled up their sleeves and showed what the church in action looks like!

A marvelous carillon concert was heard from the steeple while people enjoyed picnic lunches and fellowship. Then we walked to visit the relatively new Avon Historical Museum just a stone’s throw away from the church. Many thanks to all who made this event so wonderful!

Happy May!!!
The tradition of weaving a Maypole is rooted in centuries-old European customs to ensure fertile fields for harvest. Yet, it’s a simple skip over to enjoying this beautiful ritual as related to celebrating God’s beautiful spring in the blooming creation. So “Maypole Mayhem” (a nod to the oft complicated steps while weaving) has resulted yet again a lovely display on our church lawn!
May we all remember that we share in the stewardship of God’s creation by being good caretakers of nature and each other!
