Summer schedules change. Vacations happen. Routines get disrupted.
But discipleship doesn’t go on vacation.

Ordinary Time is where most Christian growth actually happens — not in dramatic moments, but in small acts of daily faithfulness:
• going to Mass consistently
• making time for prayer
• practicing patience
• loving our neighbors well
• staying close to Jesus even when life gets busy

The green vestments of Ordinary Time symbolize growth. And growth usually happens slowly.

So as summer approaches, don’t just plan for beach days and road trips. Plan for holiness, too.

“The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life.” — Catechism of the Catholic Church

Join us for a Corpus Christi Procession at Holy Spirit Parish on Sunday, June 7, following the 12 Noon Mass.

Together, we will walk from the church to the chapel in prayer and thanksgiving, publicly honoring Jesus Christ truly present in the Eucharist.

All are welcome to join us for this beautiful witness of faith.

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity!

One God. Three Persons. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—a mystery at the very heart of our faith.

“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” — Matthew 28:19

The Trinity is not just something to understand—it is a relationship to enter into. God is not solitary. God is communion. And we are created to share in that divine life.

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—teach us to live in unity, to love selflessly, and to reflect Your life in the world.

Easter may be over, but the Church is not “back to normal.” We are now in Ordinary Time — and that does not mean unimportant time.

The green vestments you’ll see at Mass represent growth. Ordinary Time is about the slow, steady work of becoming holy through daily discipleship: prayer, sacrifice, kindness, repentance, Scripture, and faithfulness in the middle of ordinary life.

Most of our spiritual growth does not happen in dramatic moments. It happens quietly:
• choosing patience instead of anger
• praying even when we don’t feel like it
• going to Mass consistently
• forgiving someone
• making time for God in a busy schedule

Summer can be a beautiful season for spiritual growth — but only if we stay intentional. As routines change, don’t let prayer disappear with them.

Maybe this Ordinary Time is an opportunity to begin again:
• pray for 5 minutes each morning
• read the Sunday Gospel before Mass
• visit the church during the week
• pray before meals
• spend less time scrolling and more time listening for God

Ordinary Time isn’t ordinary. It’s where disciples are formed.

Today, the Church celebrates the Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church.

At the foot of the Cross, Jesus entrusted Mary to His disciples—and through them, to all of us. As our spiritual mother, Mary continually points us toward her Son and prays for the Church throughout every age.

On this Memorial Day, as we remember those who gave their lives in service to others, we also entrust our nation, our parish, and our families to the loving care of Our Blessed Mother.

Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for us.

Today, we remember and pray for the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, may we take time to honor the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of those who laid down their lives for others. We also pray for their families, loved ones, and all who continue to carry the weight of that loss.

“Greater love has no one than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.
