St. Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us.

Mother Teresa was entrusted with the mission of bringing God’s tender love to the most impoverished places of the world. She often said that this mission is a “call within a call” and found deep fulfillment in her mission work as she founded a religious community called the Missionaries of Charity.

Her life is a witness to the joy of loving the greatness and dignity of every human person and doing little things faithfully and with love.

We celebrate the great St. Augustine today, who said, “You have made us for yourself O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you.”

May we recognize Augustine’s wise words, needing to turn to God in our restlessness of humanity and confide in God’s grace and tenderness.
