You are invited to The Peace-In, an interactive conversation on trust between clients, partners, and colleagues, presented by HomeAid Austin , with Peace Lutheran Church and CTXWired.

The featured speaker is Colonel John O’Grady, US Army (Retired), with Trust Equity: Are You Building or Spending? Trust is not a feeling people have about you. It is a balance you carry with every client, partner, and colleague, and every interaction is a deposit or a withdrawal. You will leave with one relationship to invest in and one specific deposit to make in the next seven days.

We’re excited to introduce the voices joining us for JUST I.C.E. ENFORCEMENT: Our Neighbors’ Lives and the Call to Accountability.

Our panel brings together lived experience, faith leadership, legal expertise, and advocacy:

💜 Angela Báez — Sharing her perspective shaped by her experience as an immigrant, person of color, and longtime City of Austin professional.

💜 Bishop Sue Briner — Lutheran bishop and public faith leader committed to justice, human dignity, and compassionate Christian witness.

💜 Kristin Etter — Director of Policy and Legal Services at the Texas Immigration Law Council, bringing extensive experience in immigration law, policy, enforcement, and advocacy.

Together, they’ll help guide a courageous conversation as we learn more about immigration enforcement, consider these issues through a compassionate Christian lens, and explore what accountability and meaningful action can look like.

VBS is nearly here!!!

We are so excited to kick things off tomorrow.

It was so joyful yesterday to gather for groundbreaking with so many people who are part of bringing the Peace Family Housing Project into being! And to top it off, we received a proclamation from Austin City Council Member for District 6, Krista Laine, on behalf of Austin Mayor Kirk Watson, declaring June 9, 2026 Peace Family Housing Project Day!

Vacation Bible School Day Camp at Peace!
June 22-26 we are going to have a great adventure led by staff from Cross Trails Ministry. All staff and volunteers are background checked, and our program is full-day and totally cost flexible. We would love to have you join us.
