White River Buddhist Temple A Jodo Shinshu Buddhist Temple located in the Auburn Valley

Its founders and pioneers, originally from Japan, settled in the historic White River Valley area. Historically the Temple has been a portal to the surrounding community. An example is the popular annual Bon Odori summer festival. This is a great time for the public to share our culture and Dharma. Programs in Sharing the Dharma include:

* Seminars and Workshop

* Weekly English Family Services
* Dharma School for Youth
* Monthly Family Memorial Services

Typical Sunday Schedule:

9:00 AM Zen Shin Meditation
10:30 AM Family Service in English

White River Buddhist Temple is part of the Northwest District which comprises of 6 Temples ( Seattle, Tacoma, Spokane, Yakima, Oregon, and Idaho-Oregon ) and the Columbia Sangha. Our volunteers are hard at work this week preparing for our annual Temple Rummage Sale this Saturday (8 am - 1 pm)! There is a growing collection of Japanese dishes, traditional clothing, homegoods, and decor - you won't want to miss it! Come early to browse the best selection.

We continue to accept donations this week at the following times:
