Christians get weirdly excited when celebrities follow Jesus. A famous person talks about faith, and suddenly everybody cares. Clips get shared. Podcasts talk about it. People act like the Kingdom finally gained someone important.

Meanwhile, there are people in your actual life who are desperate for hope, and nobody notices them. Your coworker. Your neighbor. Your sibling. Your friend who acts fine but clearly is not.

We celebrate influence more than transformation. It is easier to repost a celebrity testimony than to actually care about the people God already placed in front of us.

Jesus never chased famous people. He paid attention to the overlooked ones. Maybe we should, too. 💙

Some of you were hurt in church and nobody ever acknowledged it honestly. You were judged, ignored, manipulated, talked about, dismissed, or made to feel unwanted by people who claimed to represent Jesus. That should not have happened, and we are sorry for the ways churches have failed people.

But broken people exist everywhere, including churches. Christians are not perfect examples of Jesus all the time. Sometimes, they are the reason people want to walk away completely.

Still, Jesus has not walked away from you!

If it has been a long time since you stepped into church, you are welcome here. If you are skeptical, uncertain, angry, or uncomfortable, you are welcome here, too. 🤍

God’s silence is not God’s absence. Read that again. 💙

A lot of people assume that if they cannot feel God, He must have left. But faith was never meant to depend on emotions. Feelings change. God does not. Even in seasons where He feels distant, He is still present, still faithful, and still working. 🙌🏼
