The SRF International Headquarters (the Mother Center) was established by Paramahansa Yogananda in Los Angeles, USA, in 1925 as the spiritual and administrative centre for his world mission of disseminating the ancient science of Kriya Yoga to all humanity.

SRF is about to implement a major retrofit and rehabilitation project to include essential seismic and fire-safety upgrades to the International Headquarters Building, which was constructed in 1909, as well as necessary improvements to the surrounding site grounds.

We invite you to join Swami Chidananda Giri, president and spiritual head of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India/Self-Realization Fellowship, and SRF Vice President Swami Vishwananda Giri for a special live-stream as they unveil the vision and inspiration behind the SRF International Headquarters Retrofit & Rehabilitation Project plans — and share a “preview” of the completed project.

Each year Self-Realization Fellowship celebrates Janmashtami — the birth anniversary of Bhagavan Krishna, India’s beloved avatar whose teachings are enshrined in the Bhagavad Gita. This joyous annual celebration falls on September 4 this year.

We are happy to announce that Brother Chidananda, president and spiritual head of SRF/YSS, will lead a special Janmashtami commemorative service livestreamed from the SRF International Headquarters on Thursday, September 3, at 6:30 p.m. Pacific Time (Friday, September 4, at 7:00 a.m. Indian Standard Time). This special service will be available for viewing on the SRF website and YouTube channel after it is livestreamed.
