Happy Labor Day, Asheville!
Today most of us take the day off for recreation and family time, rather than pursuing another day of work. We can consider it an extra Sabbath, and it’s very rewarding. If you go out to a store, remember to show mercy towards those who still had to be on the clock today.

Update:
We recently told the public that our final Sunday in the sanctuary on Westwood Pl. would be August 9. At the time of posting, it was absolutely true.
But that has now been amended. Thanks to the gracious attitude of our upcoming buyers, our final Sunday has been extended to September 13.
We are amending our previous announcement because we wish to remain transparent with the community. Please know that you are all invited to come worship with us, up to this date and even beyond when we meet somewhere new!

This Sunday marks our final meeting in the sanctuary. Not our final meeting as a church, or even our final meeting on Westwood Pl.
But it is, without doubt, no matter what else God has in store for us, the end of an era.
All I can say is “thank you” to everyone who’s contributed in any way to our church’s life. And thank you, Lord, for 3 years of molding my own soul as a minister of the Word.
