Season of Creation 2026

This year we will be guided by the vision of the prophet Ezekiel (47:1–12): a river flowing from the temple of God, which grows without stopping and brings life where everything seems barren.

Water heals, restores, and makes creation flourish. But it also challenges us: to recognize ecological damage, to embrace our interconnectedness, and to immerse ourselves in the responsibility of caring for and restoring our Common Home.

🌍May this Season of Creation be a path for the healing of the Earth and human well-being to flourish together.

We begin our Season of Creation on Sunday, August 30th.

As tributes continue to pour in from all around the globe, it is clear that Dolly Parton left a mark on this world that few people ever will. She lifted spirits, opened doors, and made ordinary people feel seen. In the midst of that outpouring, I want to take a moment for her nephew, Carson Dean. I watched Carson grow up into an awesome young man, and I know how deeply family mattered to Dolly. She loved hers with everything she had, and they loved her just as faithfully in return. That kind of love is part of the light she leaves behind.

At Christ the King Episcopal we're celebration the Season of Creation 2026 from August 30th to October 4th. Our Biblical text for this year is drawn from Ezekiel 47: 1- 12, which portrays God’s life-giving water flowing from the temple of God. The river grows deeper and deeper restoring barren land, reviving waters, and sustaining flourishing ecosystems. The vision invites human responsibility: recognising ecological damage, embracing interconnectedness, we are called to immerse ourselves in the water, and actively safeguarding and working for the renewal of creation so that environmental healing and human well-being may flourish together.
