What does it look like to join God’s work of renewal, right where you are, or far from home?

Join us Saturday, September 26, for For the Renewal of the World: A Local and Global Mission Experience. Over dinner, we’ll hear stories from ACC’s local and global ministry partners and participants and discover practical ways each of us can bless others with the love of God in our everyday lives.

Featured speakers Jay Moon, professor and author, and Fabio Muniz, missionary, will share insights from their experiences in ministry locally and around the world.

And did we mention dinner? Charlie Williams’ World Famous BBQ, dessert, and childcare are all complimentary!

Come be inspired, connect with others, and discover how you can take part in what God is doing in our neighborhoods and around the world.

Community Hour starts THIS SUNDAY!

After the Worship Gathering, stick around from 10:45–11:45 a.m. for a chance to learn, grow, ask questions, and build deeper relationships at ACC.

This fall, adults can choose from three classes:

• Finding Your Mission: Discover how God has uniquely shaped and equipped you to make a difference.

• Reflections on the Book of Hebrews: Dig deeper into our fall sermon series through discussion, reflection, and conversation.

• Living Faithfully in a Complex World: Explore how we can follow Jesus with wisdom and humility amid difficult questions, cultural challenges, current events, and differing Christian perspectives.

There’s something for the whole family, too! High school students will explore “God, Heroes, and Everyday Dragons,” middle school students will begin Confirmation, and kids from birth through 5th grade will have age-appropriate programming.

Classes begin Sunday, Aug. 30, so now is the time to choose your class and register!

School is back, and so is ACC Youth Group!

Parents and grandparents, help us spread the word to the middle and high schoolers in your life. Youth Group kicks off this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. with Slip 'N Slide kickball, popcorn, games, a short message, and time to reconnect after summer.

Students in 6th–12th grade are invited, and friends are always welcome! Just remind them to bring a towel and wear clothes they don’t mind getting wet.

See you Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.!

What does it mean to love mercy, do justice, and pursue peace in a world still shaped by racism?

This fall, ACC’s Love Mercy Do Justice ministry is returning to where it began: gathering in small groups to read, learn, and have meaningful conversations together.

We’ll be reading "Dear White Peacemakers: Dismantling Racism with Grit and Grace" by Osheta Moore, a Jesus-centered invitation to examine racism, privilege, and what it means to take part in the work of anti-racism and peacemaking.

Two identical groups are available on Thursdays, Aug. 27-Dec. 10:

• 1-2:30 p.m., led by Vicky Reier
• 6:30-8 p.m., led by Laura Rodriguez

Whether you’ve participated in Love Mercy Do Justice before or this is your first time, you’re welcome to join the conversation.

Survey says... Fall Kickoff was a hit!

We celebrated the start of a new season at ACC on Sunday with brunch and a back-to-school edition of Family Feud! Scott Parr took the mic as host, and churchgoers of all ages jumped in to play, cheer on their teams, and try to guess the top answers.

Thanks to everyone who joined us. We’re excited for all that’s ahead this fall at ACC!

Good news for anyone who believes Sunday mornings should start just a little later.

Beginning this Sunday, Aug. 23, our Worship Gathering moves to 9:30 a.m.

That’s 30 more minutes to sleep, sip your coffee, find the other shoe, or convince everyone it really is time to get in the car.

See you at 9:30 a.m. this Sunday!

We wrapped up summer and looked ahead to a new school year at Back to School Sundae!

Kids, students, and adults worshiped together, Pastor Nicki shared the message, and Pastor Jodi tested our back-to-school knowledge with an intergenerational trivia game.

After worship, we enjoyed ice cream, spent time at prayer stations, and gathered for ACC Kids and Student Ministry parent meetings to get ready for the year ahead.

We’re thankful for a morning to worship, laugh, connect, and pray together as we send our kids and students into a new school year.

School is almost back in session, and we were excited to help Arvada West High School teachers start the year with a little extra encouragement!

This week, ACC volunteers welcomed Arvada West teachers back from summer break with breakfast, prizes, and a chance to show our appreciation for all they do for students and families.

Our partnership with Arvada West gives us opportunities throughout the year to support the school community, from helping with After-Prom and school events to hosting staff meals and assisting with other needs.

We’re grateful for all teachers and staff, and we wish them, their students, and families a great start to the new school year!

On Sunday, we reflected on God's faithfulness and considered what it looks like to keep every part of our lives connected to Him.

As a response, we wrote down the places where we want to remain "clipped" to God, then added them to a clothesline stretching across the front of the sanctuary. Family. Work. Health. Finances. Relationships. Dreams. Fears. Every part of our lives belongs in His hands.

The good news is that we're not responsible for holding it all together.

Because of Jesus' saving work, the clothesline is already secure.

As you go through this week, what part of your life do you need to intentionally keep clipped to God?
