A very good day at Gamble Community Center in North St Louis! One Hundred People were prayed with, had the opportunity to hear about Jesus, get a Gideon New Testament and get their eyes checked … lots went home with glasses!

We had a fantastic team … 15th Street Baptist E St Louis, Jefferson City, Gallatin, MO and several from St Louis / Jefferson County area churches.

The need for eye care was great … several “off the wall”‘prescriptions” (-11.00) … had a group of men come through from a drug/alcohol rehab center. They were very thankful and Gospel receptive! The Gamble Center Director, Adonis, Tyler, does a very good job getting the word out and inviting people from the community!

One of our volunteers was her first clinic … she was EXCITED and ready for the next clinic! That usually happens when people step outside their comfort zone and willing to go where God may be directing them!

Good day, good people, beautiful weather and Jesus was lifted high!

What a joy to partner with Spirit of Faith & Praise Church in Kansas City along with Lake Viking Church and Fifteenth Street Baptist Church.

The outreach clinic was inner city Kansas City. We were BUSY with people from beginning to end! One of the few clinics we actually had people who would not let us pray with them. The love of Jesus was penetrating the darkness!

15th Street Baptist brought a truck load of brand new clothing (with tags still on) … they were able to bless LOTS of people!

The prayer / evangelism room was ongoing. There were decisions made for Christ but it was evident that this was an area that NEEDED Christ!

Please be praying for the outreach of Spirit Of Faith & Praise as they proclaim the Gospel!

When we began the journey with Mississippi Department Of Corrections we met Brand & Amanda Huffman. They are the Superintendents of the Southern MDOC in Leakesville, MS. Over the past couple of years ago our friendship has grown.

This morning Brand called telling us about his son Colby who was involved in a motorcycle accident while escorting a funeral train in Starkville. We listened, prayed with them and hurt with them.

Please lift Colby and the Huffman family up in your prayers!

There are several libraries at the MS State Penitentiary. Several of those are organized and staffed by Christian inmates that are members of the local prison churches.

One of the libraries is affiliated with the NOBTS (New Orleans Baptist Seminary) and FBI (Faith Based Initiative). The work these organizations are doing is phenomenal!

We were able to take several boxes of books from the library of First Baptist Church of Arnold. Those books that are duplicates in the seminary library will be shared with the other libraries at the prison.

We were excited, the prison librarians excited and FBCA librarians excited to share books.

I think we need to start being more serious about the “library ministry” … we will have several more prison trips this year and this can give others the opportunity to help.

3 days down and 1 to go at Parchman. Have seen, visited with, helped with vision, prayed with, given Gospel literature to and told about Jesus to 600+ inmates.

Our team of 10 folks from the “free world” and 20 inmates have worked hard these past three days. These men have shared their stories with us about their life in Christ. It has been our joy to work alongside of them!

Hoping to reach over 1000 inmates tomorrow! Thank you to EVERYONE who has donated glasses, Bibles and helped support our team! Thank you to those who continue to pray!

Amazing Day in Unit 30 at Parchman!

Spent the morning training our inmate volunteers and then saw 160 inmates for eye checks, glasses, evangelism and prayer.

Tomorrow a full day of clinic.
Today was COLD in Mississippi … the gym we were in no heat. It was BRRRRR COLD!

Last evening we experienced an inmate led worship service with 250 inmates. WOW! From the moment we walked into the chapel … the music, the prayers, the Scripture readings and one of the most challenging inspiring messages I have ever heard in my life! Revival is happening at Parchman!

We are blessed … we get to join in just a little and be part of God’s moving … so thankful!

So so thankful for Jim Nicolls!

Jim was scheduled to be with us on this prison outreach trip. He called the other day apologizing because he had to back out … being 90+ does have some limitations!

Jim may not be with us in person but HE IS WITH US! Jim is a man of prayer and he will be praying constantly! Jim wants to make sure the Word Of God is shared and he is sending 500+ Gideon New Testaments to be shared during the eye glass clinic.

At one of the last clinics Jim was in his usual area …. Evangelism … telling people about Jesus! He very rarely took a break … he didn’t want to miss anyone! He has a tremendous love for Jesus and a burning desire to tell others about Jesus.

Jim is an amazing man … his life is a living testimony!

Thank you Jim for praying, supporting, providing Bibles and for being a Friend!

Loading and packing for another Prison Eye Glass Outreach trip!

So thankful for our church family at First Baptist Church of Arnold! Michael in the print shop helps take care of our printing needs with Gospel tracts, registration forms and whatever else we may need.

The Library (Margie, Judy, Peggy & Chris) always has duplications in books and older Sunday School literature and sends us with full boxes on most trips! The inmates and chaplains are SO THANKFUL with these resources …. Thank You friends at FBC Arnold for your help and prayers!

We are so happy when we go by the church to get things and Marc, Matt, Charlie and Michael always WANTED to help load! Thank You Guys!

The next four days (Mon-Thur) our team will be in prison sharing the Gospel, helping men with vision and eye glasses, working shoulder to shoulder with inmates who have accepted Christ while in prison!

It takes some time!
Our team met together today to begin the process of going through our entire inventory of 5300 prescription eye glasses. Lots of time and concentration! We made it through about 2/3 of the inventory … one pair of glasses at a time making sure prescriptions are in sync with our digital spreadsheet. Needs to be done at least once a year.

Thankful for our volunteers representing three different churches. Thankful for the Salvation Army Jefferson County for the use of their building.

In less than two weeks we will be conducting our first week long prison clinic. It is truly amazing how God uses the vision ministry to share the Good News of Jesus!

Thank You to Sylvia & Pastor Modesto in Matamoros for sending old memory pictures from 20+ years ago!

Back in the day Judy, Karen Crews and Kathy Anders were up to their eyeballs in ESL (English as Second Language) … not only in Mexico but also in Missouri.

Great memories! Very rewarding ministry full of fruit!

For His Glory!
