Happy Pride Month! 🌈

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the 1976 General Convention resolution stating that LGBTQ+ people have a full and equal claim to the pastoral care and support of The Episcopal Church. As we celebrate this milestone, we also celebrate and stand in solidarity with our beloved LGBTQ+ siblings, whose lives and whose witness enrich our churches and the Body of Christ.

🗓️ As you celebrate Pride, keep an eye out for Episcopalians at the following events:

📍 June 13 – Parkersburg Pride

Happy Pride Month, friends. 🌈☕️

If nobody has told you lately, hear this:

God loves you.

Not the future version of you.
Not the version that has everything figured out.
Not the version that fits someone else's expectations.

You.

Right now.

Whether you're out, questioning, celebrating, supporting, deconstructing, reconstructing, or just trying to make it through another week, you are beloved.

The Church hasn't always done a great job of showing that. Sometimes we've been the reason people needed healing instead of the place where they found it. For that, we have work to do.

But the Good News is still good news: nothing can separate you from the love of God. Not fear. Not labels. Not doubt. Not other people's opinions.

So wherever you are this Pride Month, know that there is a place for you. A seat at the table. A cup of coffee. A prayer if you want one. A conversation if you need one.

And if all you can manage today is existing, that's enough too.
