Lord, Have Mercy

Dear people of God:

Any time you receive an email from a cleric that says β€œI need you to do something for me, but don’t call me,” Call them. Immediately. Without question. And do not act until you have heard their voice speaking on a number that you know to contact them on.

HERE ENDETH THE LESSON.

While dry most of the day, there is an increasing threat for severe weather tonight into tomorrow (6/18), and damaging wind is the main threat!

With the incoming wind, the time to prepare is now! Bring loose outdoor items inside or secure them, charge phones, power banks, and essential medical devices in the event of a power outage.

- monitor forecasts and alerts from the National US National Weather Service Charleston WV, and our Kanawha Alert app for FREE

Filled with the Spirit. Rooted in Love. Open to All.

This Sunday at 10:30 AM, we'll gather for the Fourth Sunday after Pentecost at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Hansford.

And yes... the rumors are true. πŸ‘Ÿ

Due to an unexpected change in plans, Reverend Bill will be ending his leave a little early and will be back with the Shepherds of Good Shepherd this Sunday! We are grateful for his return and look forward to worshiping together once again.

Pentecost reminds us that God's Spirit shows up in unexpected places, through unexpected people, at unexpected times. Sometimes our plans change. Sometimes life gets messy. Yet God keeps showing up anyway.

That's good news.

As we continue through Pride Month, we also celebrate the truth that every person is created in the image of God and worthy of love, dignity, and belonging. No exceptions. No asterisks. No fine print.

Whether you've been in church your whole life...
Whether it's been years...
Whether you're curious, questioning, hopeful, exhausted, skeptical, or just looking for a community that will welcome you as you are...

There's a place for you here.
