The Well - AFUMC Student Ministry The Well Student Ministry offers opportunities for students to learn, grow, and connect with Christ It’s more than bands and speakers.

LEARN
The Well students meet on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM for a dedicated time to study the Word with their peers in designated age groups (grades 6-8 and grades 9-12). They also meet on Wednesday nights at 6PM and Sunday nights at 6PM. GROW
Let’s do life together-- join a small group on Sunday nights at 6 PM to grow in your relationship with Jesus alongside your peers. The Well students meet in

host homes to share a meal together and to dive deeper into the ins and outs of discipleship. CONNECT
The Well students meet on Wednesday nights at 6 PM for a night of fun and fellowship. Movie nights, hangouts, flag football, gaming tournaments, capture the flag, and more-- there are no limits to fun had here! MISSIONS
Mission trips give The Well students an opportunity to travel to other communities and focus on helping others. Past trips have been to Mountain T.O.P., SIFAT, Upper Sand Mountain Parish, Copperhill TN, Tuskegee AL and Slidell, LA to help with Hurricane Katrina recovery. These trips give students the assurance that they can make a difference in the lives of others by sharing a Christian attitude and a willing heart. EVENTS
Encounter Events is a Jesus-led student movement dedicated to bringing relevant, high energy and high impact events which aim to bring Jesus to the center of the lives of students. To stay in the loop on all future events, follow us on Instagram .events

MOTION is more than a conference. MOTION is about a generation empowered by Jesus, equipped to make a difference, and living out their faith every day! Discovery Weekend is one of the most important events of our year. It is an opportunity for our students to grow spiritually and relationally. This student-led event allows our senior high students to pour into our junior high students, leading small groups, sharing testimonies, and growing in faith with each other.

The Well is going on a weekend mission trip, and you don't want to miss out!

Who: Students 6-12 grades
What: Mission Trip Overnight- day trip option also available
When: July 11-12, 2026 (leave Saturday morning, arrive back Sunday evening, times TBA)
Where: Upper Sand Mountain Parish
Cost: $50 for overnight, $25 for day trip. Includes T-shirt! (If cost is a problem, please talk to Laura or Holli. Mission trip scholarships available).

More about USMP: We are a cooperative ministry small membership United Methodist Churches formed by the Holy Spirit to glorify God. Our vision is to nurture a spirit-filled Christian community called to alleviate suffering, both spiritually and physically for the people of upper Sand Mountain. We strengthen the local churches in cooperative ministry; and minister in Jesus' name to the people of upper Sand Mountain.

First up: Spring Valley Beach!
Spring Valley Beach Day Trip

Who: All students rising 6th-12th grades welcome!

What: A fun day at Spring Valley Beach (More info: https://www.springvalleybeach.com/) !

Wear a Swimsuit, bring a towel and sunscreen!

When: June 19, 2026- We will meet at AFUMC at 9:30AM and will message parents when we head back after our park day.

Where: 2340 County Hwy 55, Blountsville, AL 35031

Cost: Park admission is $35.

You don’t have to bring $ for food unless you just want to- The Well is bringing snacks and grilling hotdogs for lunch, and renting a pavilion.

Today is SERVE DAY!

For those attending in person today, we’ll meet in the Fellowship Hall at 9:30 am for our work projects and again at 11:30 am for a fellowship lunch.

For those worshipping with us virtually, a recorded service will stream at 9:00 am and will play again on WRAB at 11 am.

Camp Sumatanga has a variety of camps available for children/youth of different ages. If you are interested, contact the church office! Scholarships are available.
